Grilling up some wings just before gametime. Can't wait. First game of the year, but with some more optimism this time. Weird.
Chili is ready to go. I've had a couple irish coffees and just cracked my first beer. Let's do this. Questions I have.... Will Williams be able to just run the offense or will he try to play hero ball too much? Can Waldron be a good player caller? Or just an efficient one? Seahawks fans were not exactly sad to see him leave and there are lots of complaints of him being too cute at times. Something we are really familiar with. What is the over/under on the season for the number of times we see Velus Jones run the ball in 3rd or 4th and short situations? Because you know it's coming. Can the front 4 generate consistent pressure? And finally....can Eberflus just stay out of his own way? Those are some things that just may decide how well this team does this season. We have lost games in the past strictly based on coaching mistakes. Eberflus doesn't need to be a mad genius and win us games. He just needs to let the talent on the roster decide outcomes. Go Bears.
Don’t like Jeffrey Simmons vs the IOL. Not confident in Braxton against Harold Landry either. Attack the rookie OT and Petit-Frere, who’s been injured, bad, and suspended for the past year and change. Attack the whole OL. Send pressure everywhere. Don’t like their TE Okonwo vs the yapper, brisker or the LBs. If Hopkins is out, I expect Levis to look for him a lot. Keep shit simple for Caleb. Use all that speed you’re keeping at RB. And for the love of god, when the moment required it, know where the sticks are and throw to them.
Alright. Season is here. Let's go! We won the offseason for the 10th time this century, we have an offseason dynasty like no other team. Time to put up or shuttup. Pisses me off that Poles reportedly turned down a 4th rounder for him a couple weeks ago. I feel like he could end up being the Taquan Mizzell of this offense. I have not forgotten the games from last year or 2022 that Flus lost on his own. No reason to think he won't cost us another game or two this year. Yes, let the talent on the roster decide the game.
Good luck for the Bears and Go Titans Go. This has the potential to be a good game with 2 young QBs battling.
Are Scott, Sewell & Johnson all healthy scratches today? Hardly a glowing reflection on the GMs 4th/5th round work last year.
Flus really scheming well so far. Anytime the offense wants to pull its head out of its ass. That punt return put you at midfield
