LAMAR JACKSON - “Any game I play in, I feel like it’s a revenge game,” said Jackson, who earned his second NFL MVP award last season. “Anybody we’ve played, no matter if we’ve beat them or lost to them in previous years, I just want to win.”

Lamar is 1-4 against counterpart Patrick Mahomes. That includes the 17-10 loss in January, when Kansas City held them to a lowly field goal over the final three quarters. And thats basically the same starting KC defense as last season tonight (KC's defense was second to Baltimore's).

PATRICK MAHOMES - “Obviously, you want to play in the Super Bowl at the end of the year, but this is a big stage as well,” Mahomes said. "To be able to get that experience, play a great football team, I’m excited for these guys to get out there, and for the guys who haven’t been here to see what it’s like to be on that type of stage.”

Personally, I cant wait to see what that Chiefs defense has for King Henry, thats going to be fun to see.

Hours before the season opener, the Chiefs agreed to a contract extension with tight end Noah Gray.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Gray will receive a three-year, $18 million extension that includes $10.1 million fully guaranteed at signing.

 

That’s a lot of money for a backup TE

 

Jordan Addison says he’s playing on Sunday

Vikings wide receiver gave a positive update on his condition heading into Week One on Thursday.

Addison was listed as limited in practice for the second straight day because of the ankle sprain he’s been dealing with for multiple weeks, but said that he has no question about his availability against the Giants. Addison told reporters that he feels 100 percent and that he will be good to go on Sunday.

The only other Viking on the injury report is wide receiver Jalen Nailor, who was also limited by an ankle injury.

Justin Jefferson, Brandon Powell, Trent Sherfield, and Trishton Jackson are the other receivers on the roster in Minnesota for Week One.

I'm just blown away how Lamar Jackson missed a WIDE OPEN Zay Flowers in the end zone

 

It was a fun game to start the 2024 season. One thing confirmed for me was the tandem of Worthy and Rice combined with the Pacheco, Kelse all being Grade 'A' options for Mahomes is really going to open the door for some huge plays and any given second in a game. Noah Gray had a day... signed the extension just hours before the game, waltzes in and makes plays.

Lamar and the Ravens really dont have much of anything to worry about, except maybe how to beat the Chiefs as Lamar is now, 1-5 vs Mahomes.

The Browns are currently tied for 2nd in the NFL and the Ravens are in 32nd place in the NFL... How glorious that we can live in this world for another 2+days
