    GOOD!

They still might have to go to London, but I feel like that would be a better fit. Those "football" fans in Brazil are brutal. I'm not sold they will accept our brand of football, which could be an awkward visit from these teams. I've been to Sao Paulo and it isn't the safest place in the world either. Security will keep the players safe, that isn't what I mean, but it will be a very long plane ride, just to play a game of football. The only good news is, they are only a couple of hours ahead of the east coast, unlike England. Otherwise, I think the London trip would be better.

The Vegas odds are interesting for the Browns right now…

They have them favorites to finish third in the division, to just miss the playoffs and 15th overall in odds to win the Super Bowl.

Additional context - Cincinnati and Baltimore come in at third and 4th overall to make it to the final game.

Basically, the odds for Cleveland give them a coin flip for getting in and a punchers chance for making noise.

    Trade Winston, Huntley, or DTR?

I think they would prefer to trade DTR, but there is likely very little market for him.

If they want the best return, Winston probably draws more interest than Huntley, which works against what Cleveland would ultimately like to do, IMO.

Huntley may end up being the guy with packed bags, simply due to circumstances.

I know they are trying to trade DTR, but I wouldn't be so certain that Winston brings the best return. Winston is an extremely known commodity. He is what he is at the age of 30. He is a below average QB, but great experience and good leadership.

DTR has shown flashes, he might have a higher ceiling than Winston at this stage of Winston's career, but there is still the unknown. DTR has above average athleticism as well... but then, the unknown...

To me, They are probably going to get the most return out of Huntley. Again, he has a lot of the unknown factor, BUT, he has studied 4 years behind the two time league MVP. I believe in this league, that counts for something. I don't think you are getting any more than a 7th for any of the 3. For Huntley, I think you can get a conditional 6th depending on some factors. Not a lot of difference and I expect 1 of the 3 to be traded before the weekend.. I don't know of any team that is currently looking for a possible starter due to injuries. That would be the one factor that could push Winston a little higher. At this point though, I think Winston and his $1.77M salary stay with the Browns. He has a $4M dead cap hit if they trade him, a 7th rounder isn't worth that... The others don't have more than $450k cap hit.

If it stays status quo, I think DTR will be released this weekend and they re-sign D'Onta Foreman....

Huntley would definitely be the one I would prefer to see Cleveland retain of the 3, so releasing DTR makes the most sense to me as well (if not trade materializes).

I still think Jameis would get more on the open market.

The old guard GMs, coaches and a lot of the league still pines for former 1st round picks that have all of the prototypical type measurements. Huntley will still be viewed as the guy that has found his 'in' as a solid backup.

I don't disagree that Winston has the most value, but when it comes to compensation vs. what you are giving up... Does it make sense to give up a guy that you know can step in when (no I'm not saying "if") Deshaun goes down for however many games it is this year?

They would need considerate compensation, I'm talking a 2nd or 3rd round pick to make up for that upside and the $4M in dead cap. No one in their right mind will be willing to give up a 5th rounder for Jameis, thus, Winston stays. He sure wasn't a hot commodity on the open market in Free agency... What has changed in 6 months?

I too prefer Huntley btw... I also think we definitely keep 3 QBs.

I think the only way they move DTR is if someone drastically overpays for him. They will have DTR for 3 yrs at a 5th rd price tag. They'll move Huntley now (while emphasizing he is a probowl QB when in discussions), keep Winson and DTR with the eyes on DTR being the primary backup next year to save $ in the QB room.

The is just a technicality. They did it last year with Mo Hurst, they cut him to get someone onto the 53 so they could put him on IR and allow the player to return, then Hurst was re-signed. If you put someone on IR in the preseason their season is over. Remember, its the first 53, not the final 53. There will be more moves coming.

I agree, they will get Foreman back on the 53, as long as someone else doesn't sign him.... He cleared waivers, so it's likely they will be fine...
