Im really liking what ive seen from Hall. Even going back to before he got injured. The guy is accurate and he is playing against 2's and 3's, but he does show me some real good promise.
Well DeWayne McBride looked ok not great the Vikings doesn't matter if it 1st or 2nd or 3rd string the Vikings defensive backfield sucks
Be nice if Harrison Smith has a rebound season and he is getting long in the tooth also. Bynum is good and I like Mettelus a bunch too. Griffin and Murphy Jr need to come up big and things wont be all too bad. If the Vikings get a great pass rush from the front d-line (hoping Turner turns out to be an all-pro), maybe that would help the opposing QB make some ill-advised passes and the DB's can clean that stuff up.
Reichard is killing it... just nailed a 57 yarder. I cant remember the last time we didnt have a heart attack kicker.
Jaren Hall has looked good the Vikings kicking game has been fixed still have my fingers crossed we win Vikings 26 Eagles 3 a win is a win even if it's just preseason
Às much as it pains me to say it i hope they draft Harrison Smith replacement that will be one Tough job
The Vikings have announced their first wave of cuts and it includes a quarterback and a veteran defender. Minnesota waived Matt Corral after the quarterback recently joined the club following J.J. McCarthy’s season-ending knee injury. He completed 4-of-6 passes for 13 yards in preseason play. Cornerback A.J. Green was released after he signed a futures deal with Minnesota in January. He has appeared in 34 regular-season games over the last four seasons with Cleveland. The Vikings also waived running back DeWayne McBride, tight end Sammis Reyes, running back Mo Ibrahim, cornerback Jaylin Williams, tight end Neal Johnson, receiver Justin Hall, outside linebacker Owen Porter, offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga, offensive lineman Doug Nester, offensive lineman Matt Cindric, offensive lineman Spencer Rolland, and defensive lineman Tyler Manoa. All rosters must be reduced to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon’s deadline. PFT
The Vikings are moving on from running back Kene Nwangwu. Via Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Vikings will cut him if they can’t trade him. A fourth-round pick in 2021, Nwangwu has been a very good kick returner. However, and as noted by Goessling, Nwangwu never really developed as a running back. Coupled with the release of Myles Gaskin, the move will leave the Vikings with two running backs — Aaron Jones and Ty Chandler. Presumably, they’ll be making other acquisition to enhance the position. Plenty of running backs will be available on the waiver wire today and tomorrow, and others could be acquired via trade. Of the available free agents, Kareem Hunt’s name stands out the most. Nwangwu has three kick returns for touchdowns. The dynamic kickoff would presumably make him more attractive, unless the Vikings simply expect the ball to be kicked out of the end zone, if he were back to return.
I am so glad that Jaren Hall did not get cut,and I hope DeWayne McBride makes it though and nobody claims him so he can be put on the practice squad I thought Gant might make it Kene Nwangwu you needed to show what you can do on a consistent basis not flashes here and there
The Vikings reached the league-mandated 53-player roster limit with a series of moves Tuesday. They left tight end T.J. Hockenson on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, placed linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk on injured reserve and placed outside linebacker Gabriel Murphy and guard Dalton Risner on injured reserve/designated to return. Hockenson, Murphy and Risner must miss four games before becoming eligible to return. The Vikings waived safety Lewis Cine, running back Kene Nwangwu, cornerback Nahshon Wright, outside linebacker Andre Carter II, offensive lineman Henry Byrd, offensive guard Tyrese Robinson, wide receiver Lucky Jackson, wide receiver Jeshaun Jones, wide receiver Thayer Thomas, defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy, linebacker Dallas Gant and outside linebacker Bo Richter. They released tight end N’Keal Harry, cornerback Duke Shelley, running back Myles Gaskin, defensive back Bobby McCain, defensive lineman James Lynch, tight end Robert Tonyan and defensive Jonah Williams. Wide receiver Malik Knowles was waived with an injury designation.
