Ive heard/read he might be back around week 7... have you heard differently? I didnt know he was out for the season as of yet.
KOC has got to carry 3 QB's on the 53 or they could lose Hall and how smart would that look if Darnold or Mullens went down. Problem with KOC is I read he doesnt like to carry 3 QB's on the active roster, but if they put Hall on the Practice Squad in order to call him back up on a gameday, he would have to clear waivers and I dont see that happening. So if he were to be placed on the PS, then there's a huge gamble that he gets snagged up by someone, probably the stinkin Packers, lol, so, In my opinion, KOC has no realistic choice but to keep all 3 which means a good player isnt going to make the 53-man roster, but QB's dont fall from trees.
No I have not read anything about TJ Hockenson but a torn meniscus and ACL if he does comeback will he be effective and in football shape take your time and don't rush back you and JJ McCarthy would ɓe a sweet hook up
He tore his ACL and MCL, but the last update i read said he was progressing as well as can be expected. There was a problem with severe swelling directly after the injury which delayed his actual surgery time, but all-in-all, he should be good to go mid-season if he doesnt fall down the stairs or something.
Cornerback Najee Thompson has been sidelined by a knee injury this summer and he lost his spot on the Vikings roster for the same reason on Wednesday. The team announced that Thompson has been waived with an injury designation. He will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers. Thompson signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent last year and had seven tackles and a fumble recovery while playing special teams in 15 games. Mekhi Blackmon went down with a torn ACL early in camp and the injuries at corner have led the Vikings to add several players to the position group this summer. In addition to waiving Thompson Wednesday, the Vikings also announced that they have signed offensive lineman Matt Cindric and waived tackle Jeremy Flax with an injury designation. PFT
Wasnt trying to correct you, I make too many mistakes on an hourly basis to correct anyone, lol. Just droppin the stuff I read, but it will be nice to get him back. Vikings picked up another TE off waivers today... Neal Johnson from the New York Jets, nobody I ever heard of. So now the Vikings have 6 TE's on the current depth chart not including Hockenson.
There is no way Jaren Hall clears waivers imo would KOC just keep 2 qb just in case Darnold falls apart can Mullens really lead the Vikings? I would put my trust in Jaren Hall Mullens is to hit and miss for me
Who is Neal Johnson? again its YouTube to see if i can find any highlights on him,ì just wonder how come the didn't try to find a center or a D-lineman
All I could find on YouTube was Just highlights of Neal Johnson of the Louisiana Cajuns of the Sunbelt Conference could not find any highlights of him as a JETS he looked ok in college nothing special looks like a camp body
He didnt play in the NFL yet except for 1 catch in 1 preseason game. He was just signed this year. He was a UDFA signed by the Rams earlier in the Spring, they let him go and the Jets signed him just last week, then they let him go and the Vikings swooped in on him. Somebody or some teams must like the way he plays because of the sorta interest, but he is just a depth for a depth guy for now. Vikings have had some success with UDFA's recently, but this seems like a long long shot. I guess you could say that the Vikings currently really only have Camp body style TE's on the team... I seen one Vikings beat writer even mention getting CJ Ham the ball through the air more often. Mundt is all they really have with Oliver backing him up and Im not sold on Tonyan, so it really was/is a position of critical need at the moment on an offense that really needs to have a consistent TE to reach its highest potential. There are some glaring holes on the Vikings and time is running out to fill them.
Too bad Tyler Conklin is gone the Vikings could use him now,I just don't know enough of him Neal Johnson and he couldn't make it with the Rams and their pretty good says a lot
Vikings Sign Minnesota Gophers GOAT Minnesota Gophers star Mo Ibrahim joins Vikings running back room Last season the Minnesota Vikings running back room left plenty to be desired. This year Aaron Jones heads up the group and provides a high quality option. Ty Chandler is a capable starter behind him, and Kene Nwangwu looks like a legitimate third option. Mo Ibrahim will also don a purple jersey as he returns to the gridiron in Minnesota. The former Minnesota Gophers running back went undrafted out of college and played one game last season with the Detroit Lions. He has never recorded a professional carry, but did return a kick for 22 yards a year ago. A hip injury ended his season. With the Gophers, Ibraham tallied over 4,600 yards in his career. He surpassed 1,000 yards in three separate seasons and racked up a whopping 53 touchdowns. Ibrahim is the all-time rushing record holder for Minnesota. Ibrahim will be 26 years old this season and spent five years in college. He has dealt with a multitude of injuries, but when healthy, was one of the greatest running backs in college football. What role does Minnesota Gophers Ibrahim play for Vikings? It seems highly unlikely that the Minnesota Vikings will carry four running backs. Ibrahim is behind Jones, Chandler and Nwangwu. He presents a practice squad option though, and could vault himself ahead of both Myles Gaskin and DeWayne McBride. As things stand, C.J. Ham is expected to be the fourth running option on the roster. YARDBARKER _______ _______________ Im not sure how he fits at this moment, but at least he will be in the system... he sounds like a beast.
Yeah I like it he was a good rb with the Gophers be nice to have on practice squad,I think you can cut Myles Gaskin, and you could put the former Gopher rb on it could be a diamond in the rough I still feel that way about DeWayne McBride too
Jaren Hall to start at QB for the Vikings in the preseason finale Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold will not play Saturday against the Eagles in the final preseason game. Coach Kevin O’Connell announced that Jaren Hall will draw starting duties, with Matt Corral also seeing time. Nick Mullens is the backup to Darnold, but he played most of last week’s second preseason game, so the Vikings won’t play him this week either. Hall has seen action in the previous two exhibition games, completing 11 of 21 passes for 150 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. His chances of making either the 53-player roster or the practice squad improved greatly after the season-ending injury to rookie J.J. McCarthy. Darnold ends his preseason 4-of-8 for 50 yards in 12 snaps in the preseason opener. PFT ________ _______________ 12 snaps, oh boy, lol.
Just 12 snaps didn't break sweat well then he must be on fire at practice oh Jaren Hall do your thing show KOC and the coaching staff you belong in the NFL I just don't trust Nick Mullens to lead the Vikings, are the Vikings willing to put Jaren Hall at ŕisk?
In the Eagles game I hope they show case Mo Ibrahim he's the type of rb that gets better and better as the game goes on it's amazing didn’t they watch him WTF as a Min̈nesota Golden Gophers the guy was damn good
Should be fun to watch the Vikings QB play today. Big battle between Hall and Corral for QB3. Really, there is all kinds of battles up in the air today and some real tough decisions to be made, so this should be interesting on the Vikings side of the ball. Kickoff vs the Eagles in Philadelphia is at 1pm et.
Cine is in there I want to see some sharpness by the Vikings it's time to IMPRESS!!! this is it now or never
