Ohio passes bill to ensure Biden appears on November ballot -- but DNC still plans to hold virtual roll call

What a nice waste of time and taxpayer money after the DNC already did an end around on our state republicans who were trying to do their part to obstruct and steal the election in Ohio.

Edit: For those who haven’t been following this. Ohio has an earlier date to declare the candidates than when the DNC convention will be held to officially declare Biden as their candidate. There have been 16 occasions in the past where Ohio has passed exemption bills for both parties to bypass their date. This year the majority republican state legislature has been refusing to do so and the DNC said “ Fine, we’ll just hold an early video roll call to satisfy Ohio rules and still hold a formal convention later.”

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A 70-year-old Alaska man who was attempting to take photos of two newborn moose calves was attacked and killed by their mother, authorities said Monday.

The man killed Sunday was identified as Dale Chorman of Homer, said Austin McDaniel, a spokesperson for the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

The female moose had recently given birth to the calves in Homer.

“As they were walking through the brush looking for the moose, that’s when the cow moose attacked Dale,” McDaniel said.

The attack happened as the two were running away, he said. The second man, who has not been publicly identified, was uninjured.

That person did not witness the attack, so authorities cannot say if the moose killed Chorman by kicking or stomping him, or a combination.

Medics pronounced Chorman dead at the scene. The cow moose left the area, Alaska State Troopers said in an online post.

 

Who the phuque sits in the open bed of a pickup truck when going thru a drive-thru Safari zoo? Any number of other animals could do worse….I’m thinking tiger or lion dragging you off whether you’re a child or an adult.

 

These are the same kind of people that try to pet a bison at Yellowstone. These are wild animals. It's NOT a petting zoo!! A bison killed a 70-80YO lady in Yellowstone last week. There were a couple of guys that came across a baby moose in Canada. They stopped and petted it until momma moose showed up. She killed one of them!!

 

God Bless these animals helping out that survival of the fittest theory. Too bad the least fit have lots of kids.

Two New York men die falling into a manure tanker


Two men have died in upstate New York after falling into a manure tanker, local police said.

One of the men attempted to retrieve a piece of equipment that had fallen into the tanker, the Kirkland Police Department told WKTV.

“He passed out and fell inside of the tanker,” police said, adding that the second man also passed out and fell in as he tried to help.

The incident happened on Thursday morning at a farm in Kirkland, New York, less than 50 miles (80km) east of Syracuse, New York.

Decomposing manure can produce a number of gases, including methane, ammonia and carbon dioxide, that can be deadly to people and livestock when ingested in high concentrations, according to the Farm Safety Association.

Authorities identified the men as Nathan Doody, 33, and Tyler Memory, 29, according to the New York Daily News.

Workers on Champion Farm called authorities to help, but the men were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Similar incidents have happened previously. A farmer and 13 cows died in Wisconsin in 2016 after they were overcome by methane or sulphur oxide from a huge manure holding tank.

Woman Mauled by Pack of Wolves After She Went for a Jog in Car-Only French Safari Park, in Critical Condition


A woman was reportedly attacked by three wolves in a French animal reserve when she stepped out for a jog in an area restricted to pedestrians.

The incident took place around 9 am local time on Sunday, sources confirmed to the Le Parisien newspaper. The wolves reportedly bit the woman in the "neck, calf and back" at the Wow Safari Thoiry zoo in Yvelines, about 25 miles west of Paris, according to chief prosecutor in Versailles, Maryvonne Caillibotte.

The woman "ended up in the safari zone, which is supposed to be restricted to cars. That's where she was attacked by three wolves", Caillibotte said.

Anyone remember the Chinese woman that got upset at her husband so she walked out and went to the driver's side demanding to drive and while she was doing that a tiger grabbed her and dragged her away. Safari patrol was instantly there but the old mother also got out of the car and she died trying to save her.

 

This isn't really a dumb ass of the day but it does fit here somehow. The school I work at recently had a piano delivered and on the side of the box amongst the warnings was a do not roll box warning. The only reason for the warning would of course be because someone rolled it previously. So who in the world would roll a baby grand end over end in the box and think yeah this will work.

 

I would think that rather than some idiot actually tryin to flip a piano into a building, it was some damn idiot "product liability" lawyer trying to earn his paycheck. Still goes in the "Dumbass of the Day" category. (lawyers)

 

The Fourth of July keeps on giving year after year.
