I have Dallas in 6 and Florida in 7..........Panthers to win the "Cup" over the Stars.

 

When Bob is on his game he's unstoppable. Rags found that out... Panthers 3-0 winners in game 1.

Tonight its Edmonton at Dallas (830pm et). I really want to see the Canadian team go to the Cup Finals. Its just a good thing imo and I appreciate from the days of old all they, not Edmonton in general, but the Canadian teams bring to the game itself, so Go Oilers!

 

I agree Will.........it would be nice if a Canadian Team wins the Stanley Cup.....But for selfish reason I want the Vancouver Canucks to Hoist Lord Stanleys Grail.

Very good Hockey Game last night and I'm thinking the Rangers will even up the series tonight in New York.

I'm sure D-Line is very happy with his Florida Panthers right now....I have them winning the CUP over Dallas.

I know your a HUGE Vikings Fan but I'm surprised you did not go with the Detroit Lions in your early days.....because your Theme seemed to be Detroit teams.

Lions are going to be good again in 2024 and will win the NFC North........and your Vikes will get the WC.

Its just as a little kid i seen a Rams, Vikings game on the old black & white. I was spell-bound and instantly hooked on the game, especially the line of scrimmage stuff, the trenches with those two helmets (horns) crashing into each other... I immediately was a Vikings fan and have been since about 1966 or 67. That was shortly after I moved from Cali to Toledo. I was always a radio kid as we only could afford 1 set and my pops wouldnt let me watch sports, so Id tune in to the Red Wings and Tigers on 760AM out of Detroit and those teams have been my favs since then. Ive always been dedicated to those 3 teams, not a bandwagon kinda guy.

I laughed when you brought up the Old B&W TV.........I'm a Tennessee Titans Fan because of the Houston Oilers....1961 I watched them win the AFL Championship on our OLD B&W Motorola TV and I really liked the Oilers Logo and stuck by team all these years later....and I was a HUGE Earl Campbell Fan and DAMN they could never get by the Pittsburgh Steelers in those days....I never liked Terry Bradshaw in those days and his 1st Super Bowl was against your Vikings. And 4 SB's in Total....

The Panthers can advance to the Cup Final for the second straight season with a win in Game 6 of the best-of-7 series in Sunrise, Florida, on Saturday.

"Our approach is one game at a time," Bennett said. "We've got business to take care of still and all we're thinking about is Game 6 at home. Our entire focus is on that game right now."

This doesnt surprise me that the Panthers are winning this series so far, but they better be ready in FLA, or they'll find themselves in a Game 7... which I hope they do. I hope all the series go 7.

Dallas and Edmonton are tied at 2 games apiece... they go in Game 5 tonight, 8:30 eastern.

 

The Oilers may be Power Play merchants but they did it all series and have also been doing amazing on the penalty kill. It's not a crutch other teams can whine about but it's been their identity since COVID came along. Dallas dominated even strength last night but Edmonton dominated with 2 early PP goals and by early I mean game and during their PP clock. They also killed penalties easily.

Gotta understand Edmonton has had the best PP ever the last few seasons and this offseason so you just gotta do extra to avoid penalties. Play a little softer and avoid pe alties and ya the Oilers have an easier time 5 v 5 but Dallas probably wins last night.

 

Im so happy they (Oil) made it. The goaltending peaked at the right time. Special teams is what all that matters and they won that part. Im serious when I say... Im glad a Canadian team made to the Final.

My buddy is big into hockey and still plays it multiple times a week in multiple leagues but he's a Flames fan and once the rangers were out he stopped watching lol. He didn't like any of the remaining 3 teams. I miss Florida's old jerseys but I'm going for Edmonton. I've always liked the Western Canadian teams.

And ya the PP sunk the Canucks. The whole PP Merchant thing went loud after that series with the whiners but it is a major part of their identity and the game and less of a luck factor compared to special teams in other sports.

 

Waiting till the 8th to get this show underway is a bit much.

Good Luck for your Panthers dline......I picked them in 7 to win the CUP.

Florida gets 7 days off and Edmonton gets 6 days off..........Game # 1 will be very interesting to see how both teams respond to a lengthy time off.

The Key to beating the Oilers is STAY Out of the penalty box.

 

Tomorrow is June 6th and Marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day the Normandy Landings.
