I don't think it's all that surprising really. They were one of the few teams that hadn't done it, one of the few teams that could be forced, and have 2 top 10 rookies. Caleb is coming in as a huge media star too. I've never watched a hard knocks all the way through, but I'll definitely be watching this one.
A show on HBO that shows a "behind the scenes" look at NFL training camp. Generally speaking they focus on "bubble" players, guys that may or may not make the team. Bears to be featured for first time on 'Hard Knocks' training camp edition
Well over the years ownership has avoided this show like the plague and i believe George even came out at an owners meeting recently and basically said he didnt want the Bears to be on it. So that alone gives me a good chuckle because F ownership. Like varder i've never got through a whole TC Hard Knocks. He's right it always focuses on the human stories of some nobodies trying to make the team and i always get bored. That said, i did watch all of the in-season Dolphins HK and found it much more interesting. Particularly the aftermath of losses and how coaches try to pick the team back up. It also focuses more on the bigger name players cos the roster is set. I have no idea why a team would agree to be on that show in-season, but its better than the TC show. So the Bears being on the TC version won't be quite as interesting i imagine, but should still be laugh out loud good. I don't give a shit about distractions etc, thats their problem, deal with it. By far the thing im looking forward to the most is seeing the inspiring speeches and incredible comms skills of the HC haha, please dont edit that out! As they say over here, you never want to see how the haggis is made
