I think by the time the draft rolls around next year, Allen is a top 20 pick. The tools are all there. He just needs to get more consistent play this season.

He’s better than Pickett. His draft comp for me is Wyoming Josh Allen.

Looked at a mock, and Allar, Burdon, and Stackhouse went in the first round. The point of doing simulators 11 months before the draft is to get a foundation built up and familiarity. Where they go won't be decided until probably March.

Pickett was a bad pick, didn't help that Canada sucked and Colbert ignored the OL too many drafts as Pouncey, DeCastro, The BIg Ragu got older.
I think we all saw the movie draft day, keep this in mind. Nobody from the Steelers attended Kenny Pickett's wedding.
Two seasons of 7-5 ball, and as soon as Russell Wilson is brought in he pouted like an entitled bitch.
This ain't the NCAA Kenny the transfer portal and being traded to another team is not the same thing.
    To Quote Caddyshack, 1980:
See your future, be your future.
    Where did the ball go.
    Right into the lumberyard.

In Pittsburgh they like to call it the Lombardi yard.

Pickett was a horrible pick but he was set up to fail. He had no business being put on the field the first year. "Success" he had at the end of that first year was overrated and only enforced the wrong idea he was ready. It's not the first time they set a player up to fail Green was set up to fail too.

Pickett had 48 college starts, he had a good running game and good weapons. The only person to blame for Pickett's play last year (the deciding factor) was Pickett. His pocket presence was non-existent and every opponent knew it.

I can partly agree, most of it was on himself, two 7-5 seasons ain't getting it done.. Beach outlined the team around him, but for me the biggest issue with Kenny was his bravodo. He felt entitled to the starting job as a first round pick and didn't have the work hard to keep my job mindset. Reality was Rudolph was actually a better QB, that team looked so much better with him under center.. I will give you Canada and a marginal OL. I think Green wasn't given the best coaching with Meyers, I think Munchak's departure affected this team more than Tomlin will admit. The bigger set up to fail, for me, was Kevin Dotson, who was a RG playing on the left. Some guys just don't have the footwork or talent to be position flexible, see Moore, Dan Jr. It remains to be seen how Chucks Okorafor will do will in New England. If he does rather will then I will be down at the Southside with burghball and The Truth in the caddy with pitchforks and torches demanding better OL coaching or bringing back Mike Munchak.

Don't know DK Metcalf's situation but can pretty much kiss he and Aiyuk good bye (if) available with Jefferson's mega deal of 4 yr $140 mil with $110 mil guaranteed. Really don't see Steelers paying that much (if?) they could. Too bad we really need a seriously professional WR#2

I'd be at the south side just to meet those two ! Great company great posters both missed.

Steelers are expected to sign Cam Sutton today. That will make our backend of our defense really look good. We might just be a SB team if we get a bonefied number two WR.

I actually went to a game with burghball, upteen years ago. You also have a chance to meet some of us at the 2026 NFL draft, just DM people, several of us are interested.

I think it's a good signing, his legal issues have been documented but more importantly mostly defused. He just didn't fit in with the NFL style and Detroit, sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.
I am hoping one of the 3 young CB's on the roster makes a leap. Rush, Trice, or Watts. Would be nice to have a pleasant surprise.

General Statement here: I keep hearing "true" NFL fans complaining about Kelce and Swift, and the constant barrage of her in the press box camera time.
The NFL is a business, their job is to make revenue. The job of CBS sports is to increase viewership so their marketing dept. can sell ads for a higher price per spot.
Taylor Swift like it or not is super popular and will draw in millions of fans who normally would not be watching the Chiefs or the NFL.
As far as I know this young girl is not an asshole, she gives a fuckload of her money to charity, and is nice to her fans even paying off loans, visiting kids in the hospital.
I am not going to be the old guy yelling get off my tv, I happen to like what she stands for in animal cruelty.
Does she do things to increase her wealth with merchandise and adding concerts, yes. You are only in the spotlight for X amount of years. You grab all the money you can for your grandchildren. I will give you Vince Vaughn, his last few movies have really sucked, it's like his appeal fell off the planet. What he did was to cash in on a half dozen descent films and bank some major coin. So Swift is expanding her market and grabbing cash, smart girl.
    -End rant.

She handles the media very well too. She is composed to a superlative degree. I suspect it's because she's sharing her real self.

When asked about the camera attention at the games, her reply was something along the lines of "I can't control that. I'm just here to watch Travis ". Good for her.
