Bud Dupree signs with Chargers on two-year deal reportedly worth up to $10 million The deal is for two years, CBS Sports lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones confirms, with a base value of $6 million, and worth up to $10 million, according to NFL Media. Dupree would likely be a backup in Los Angeles as eight-time Pro Bowler Khalil Mack and four-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa are the Chargers' starting outside linebackers.
Winfield was franchise tagged in March to keep him with the club for at least 2024. Initial reports indicate that Winfield’s deal is worth $84.1 million with $45 million fully guaranteed, making Winfield the league’s highest-paid defensive back.
The average annual value of $53 million would put Goff behind only Joe Burrow’s $55 million per year on the list of highest-paid quarterbacks.
Buccaneers, Antoine Winfield Jr. agree to four-year deal Winfield was franchise tagged in March to keep him with the club for at least 2024. Initial reports indicate that Winfield’s deal is worth $84.1 million with $45 million fully guaranteed, making Winfield the league’s highest-paid defensive back.
If he takes the Lions to the NFC Championship or even beyond, it might be worth it, of course, but it is a boat-load of cash. He's no Patrick Mahomes, but he's good and deserving of an extension, that is a good deal for him... he must have a good agent. Love in Green Bay likes this shit, he might even surpass that.
BTW - Goff did win the Division for the 1st time in 30 years, 2 playoff games and a trip to the NFCC game. He finished in the top four in both passing yards (4,575) and passing touchdowns (30) in 2023. So if your going to pay a guy, might as well be him. Between St.Brown, Goff and Sewell, the Lions have $110M invested in them for this 2024 season and beyond.
The Lions could dominate the NFC playoffs for the next four years. But, I still think that'a an awful lot of money to risk on a player that could pull an "Aaron Rogers" on any given play. Is he wearing one of those padded helmets and bubble wrap?
Netflix lands the two 2024 Christmas games Recently, Netflix roasted Tom Brady. Later this year, it’ll be broadcasting football while we’re roasting chestnuts. Netflix has secured the rights to the two Christmas games to be played on Wednesday, December 25. The streamer announced the deal on Wednesday morning. The possibility was first mentioned last Wednesday, by Boomer Esiason. John Ourand of Puck then reported it was trending that way but not done. By Monday night, we caught wind of industry buzz that Amazon was making a last-minute play for the games. Ultimately, it didn’t happen. Netflix has the two games. For the first time ever, the NFL has carved out a package of games within the confines of existing broadcast contract and sold them to a company that isn’t an existing broadcast partner. The existing broadcast partners might not be thrilled about that. Especially not Amazon, which is currently paying the NFL a boatload of dollars for the Thursday night games and the Black Friday game. PFT ________ ________________ Pretty soon the entire NFL and all major sports will be PPV... speaking from my heart; FUCK THAT SHIT!
These are the New York Football Giants throwbacks to commemorate their 100 years in the NFL. I'll try to not comment on the team from just north of me. Dubbed "Century Red," the fresh kit is an amalgamation of retro elements found in their earliest years: pants and socks from New York's inaugural 1925 season, a color-blocked, red-and-blue jersey from the 1933 season, and a helmet designed with their 1938 headgear in mind. I understand they will wear them twice this up-coming season.
Oddsmakers are expecting long NFL seasons in New England and Carolina. The Patriots and Panthers are listed as underdogs in each of their 17 games next season at DraftKings Sportsbook. By contrast, the San Francisco 49ers are favored in all 17 games.
Nah the major money is the networks. They're just not passing up on a influx of capital. It's good business and it grows the game. No losers.
The NFL is going to loose me as a fan if they keep up with this shit. This is what Nascar did. They started changing everything. Rules, cars, locations, networks. To the point that you just lose interest. Now, the NFL is doing the same thing. I fear the clock is ticking.
I would love for the major networks to keep the games... NFL and all, but this streaming stuff and all the rest is just too much cash for the average Joe. Didnt used to be that way and the 'average Joe dont mean shit these days... money does.
