The owners were claiming something like 60% of the injuries involved with the tackling process were from this form of tackling... Though, isn't this the same as a rugby tackle? If so, I remember a few seasons back where they were bringing in rugby players to teach the technique to get away from penalties involving neck and chest tackles... Yes... It's already being promoted by the league... Just ridiculous
↑ Is flag football next?.......Willie Yes... It's already being promoted by the league... Just ridiculous..........Irish AND Flag Football will be introduced in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles California.........the answer to your question is Yes Will......Ridiculous.
My random opinion. People like Rashee Rice dont deserve to be in the NFL, period. Shame on the Chiefs and the NFL who havnt uttered one damn word since this happened. Its one thing to take your own life into risk, but when you screw with innocent people you've crossed a line.
The NFL would be cut down by 10% if you disqualified all of those that did something wrong in their personal lives. What is the drawn line? Reckless driving, child endangerment, domestic violence, carrying an illegal firearm, illegal drug use.. someone would have to write a book as long as the CBA to set a standard. Edit: the way the CBA is written, they would have to go through an investigation before making a statement. The Chiefs would more likely be the ones to act first, since he is their employee.
Its of my opinion that there is a clear double-standard when it comes to the NFL or any other big money entity. We've all seen the video, Rice admits to it, his lawyer admits to it, but Rice walks because he could afford a $40K bond because he's in the NFL. If Im the owner of the Chiefs, I couldnt wait to call his ass into my office and flat out fire the dip-shit, due process or not, thats how'd Id handle it. Thats just me. He committed felonies and could have killed people, fortunately he didnt. What gets me the angriest is how he and his homeys walked away and left victims there... a true cowardly act. If I had done that, Id be rotting in a Hamilton County jail at this very moment and deservedly so. Anyway, the League, Law Enforcement will handle it their way and I'll do my best to be sure I keep my own nose clean. I just get a bit pissed when I see this kind of shit over and over again and the NFL hands down a suspension (paid vacation). I believe its obvious. Common sense and the laws of the land ought to suffice.
St. Louis and the NFL might ought to consider another NFL team. The Battlehawks drew 40K+ in their home opener, today another good showing at home with 31,757. If they can draw that in the UFL, I bet they'd cash in with an NFL team which they should have never lost.
I thought he left his mind at the door when he got his eight ball out and helped Casey Jones watch his speed
With the Giants considered by Vegas to be one of the 4 bottom teams in the entire league, we can start looking at the first quarterback taken in 2025 to be the starter in NYG. These are the 3 current favorites: Shedeur Sanders Carson Beck Quinn Ewers Right now, that doesn't instill a lot of confidence. How about some players that could rise and take that spot: Cameron Ward Drew Allar Garrett Nussmeier Conner Weigman Jalen Milroe Jaxson Dart If I'm calling early shots on riser, fallers and staying the same - Risers: Drew Allar Cameron Ward Jaxson Dart Fallers: Jalen Milroe Quinn Ewers Carson Beck Stays the Same: Shedeur Sanders Conner Weigman Garrett Nussmeier
info via; FanDuel Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ status as the betting favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft didn’t last long. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is now the favorite to be the first pick next year at +300, with Sanders next at +450, via FanDuel. Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is third, with his odds to go first overall listed at +1400. Miami quarterback Cameron Ward is at +1700. Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is listed at +1900. The non-quarterbacks with the shortest odds to go No. 1 overall in 2025 are Sanders’ Colorado teammate Travis Hunter, who plays both cornerback and wide receiver, and Georgia defensive end Mykel Williams. Both Hunter and Williams are listed at +2200. -------------- ---------------------------- The above post was not intended to counterattack your opinions, just for conversation purposes only. As it stands right now, Beck is good, but Im wondering if he's a bit overrated because he's in the SEC and on Georgia? Ewers played in the Big 12 (Texas) which is transferring to the SEC, I suspect he's going to have to get more consistent while playing more talented faster SEC defenses... he's a project who's scrutiny and development just got tougher. As a BIG 10 fan, Allar is going to be interesting to watch. Built like a true NFL style QB (6'-5", 245lbs) in the pocket, Im wondering if a lack or WR talent will affect him or is that just something a truly good QB has to deal with? If he gets more accurate and raises his COMP%, he might just turn some heads. I dont know much about these QB's and Im wondering when the 2025 season is all said and done if the top of that class will be comparable to this years batch or even better.
With the mass exodus of Colorado players, we might have an entirely new group of QBs to discuss by the end of 2024/25 season. With as many QBs at the top of this draft, we will be seeing backups that were stuck behind some of these guys who were rated highly coming in, but because they haven't received playing time, couldn't get love in the portal that guaranteed starting time. The portal is changing everything...
I do, I like to see if there are any games and I can and want to attend. I only make it to 1 or 2 per year, so I have to plan well for them.
I cant afford 1 game and I think Id rather just stay in and watch on TV. And I bet you like the schedule release because its an excuse to throw a party!!!! OMG THE BROWNS PLAY ON THE 17TH!!!
There's a lot of truth in that... My wife says I have a lot of dumb reasons to throw a party, I say parties are like questions, none of them are dumb...
