Really good athlete. Has burst. Raw as hell but when you watch him he’s got instincts that you can’t teach and has an ability to make the football come loose. Definitely needs to add weight. But he could also be a really good ST player along the lines of an Ayanbadejo.
Really? I thought they were kind of stupid paying McKinney all that money then using 2 out of their first 6 picks on more safeties, with 2 other picks out of their first 6 more being off ball LBs, including 1 (their first pick of the 2nd round, Cooper) who has problems tackling on top of ‘gets lost in pass coverage’ (NFL.com scouting report) but he’s super fast! The other of their first 6 picks was a RB and the OT the needed to replace the holdmaster.
I was okay with the draft before Poles decided to go Full Al Davis Retard. Nothing will instill more confidence in your new QB than selecting a punter in the fourth round. That right there was one of the smartest men in the room moves right there. Took me a minute, but then LMAO, at that particular moment he was obviously, as confused as I was in mine.
I believe Ev is a Scot and so I always hoped he basically sounded like Sean Connery (as opposed to Fat Bastard). At least that's the accent I hear when I read his posts.
So, I didn't want a WR at #9, but there we go. Poles did his usual thing with high-measurables but low-technique / production players in round 3 and 5. I guess that covers our needs on the OL and DL? I'm sure it will. A punter in the 4th... listen, I get it, special teams matter. And this kid punted more last year than Trump at a deposition. But he's also the second-highest drafted punter in the last decade. So... what production from him would be enough to be worth a 4th round pick, in comparison to what we might have otherwise expected? I guess we'll find out. Caleb Williams has some terrific targets to throw to. I don't know that he's get the requisite blocking in front of him. Again, we'll see. Not how I would've built things, but if it wins, I will happily admit that I'm wrong.
HAAAAAA,hahahaha!!! Great work guys, those posts really made me laugh. You guys were on fine form last night Ok i feel the need to just clear up a couple things. Blang is right of course, i am a Scot, but my mother's family is from north east England(Uncle David is a Newcastle United season ticket holder). In addition to that i have a little family in Wales and married a girl from Northern Ireland. So i am a true child of The Union. If i had a distant cousin from Jamaica, Zimbabwe or somewhere i'd be opening the Commonwealth Games every 4 years! Blang is closest on the accent. Its not some crazy ass northern Scots or Glasgow accent no one can understand. I just don't turn every S into a SH like Connery ushed to do. I need to assure dline that there is no ginger in my family ha!! That said, if you ever wanted a never-a-dull-moment relationship date a Scottish redhead. Wild fun with a real chance you may be murdered in your sleep on any given night. My first serious girlfriend was a redhead. We dated for nearly 2years and i look back on her now and think thank fuck i didnt marry that girl. But man was she fun in the bedroom. Been with a few redheads in my time, they all were. Can we give it up for that guy? Faced down a quarter mil Lions fans and trolled the F out of them. What. A. Legend. Do you think his jersey was Kruetz or Sanborn? Legend. Guy deserved so much better than to deliver that whole setup before announcing a godamm 4th round Punter. Fucking Poles. Brit Bears fans are the best. Imagine a stadium full of that guy, thats kinda what its like when they play in London. I can't wait for the game this year. My dad can't travel anymore, i had this dream of taking 3 generations of us to the next one but it didnt come round fast enough. Plan to take my son though.
I still remember mega-punt, though he was a 6th rounder, so, whatever I guess. Maybe we can draft a long snapper in the 3rd next year. Outside of his accent, he is a spot-on perfect Chicagoan Bears Fan. I'm surprised he didn't toss a 20-0 prediction out there. Plus the jersey was Jack Seaborn, per the announcer there. For my money the fact that he announces a punter is just the cherry on top. All that build up of best team, etc, and then boom. Punter! I love this dude.
Why not. We got our amazing kick returner Velus Fumbles Jones awfully high too. Snag a long snapper next year and a gunner the year after. Inch our way to ST dominance.
The first time he shanks one off the top of his foot and it goes 15 yards out of bounds is gonna be fun.
