And for the record, if Howie Roseman's number ever pops up on your celly, DO NOT ANSWER THAT SHIT. You are going to be the proud owner of 2 dozen steak knives, a Kirby sweeper and a receipt that says you just spent 6 months mortgage.
I thought it was awesome of Rich Eisen on the NFL-N broadcast to point out that they had a British fan announcing the pick of a punter.
Is Houston's draft solid, in that they look like they are simply adding mortar to the foundation in case of necessity?
My only guess, and im just spitballin here..... the way Poles has been taking a match to his late round picks this offseason, and now this, its like he's saying the bottom of this draft is pure dogshit. Now that kinda jives with a couple things ive read about the general depth of this draft, you guys will know more about that than me. But here's the thing, like bww has already said on the Bears board, there are gonna be players taken after this that have good/very good/maybe more careers. There's like 130picks left!! If a GM with no more picks after this one is really so out of 1st & 2nd phase ideas by midway thru the 4th round then he's not a very good GM.
Bears aren't done bitches! Anyone with a brain knows when building a SB team it goes Punter ---> pass rusher.
Ala the Patriots a couple years ago. iirc, they took a Punter and a place kicker or something like that.
I remember the Bucs taking that kicker in the 2nd round once. Aguayo or something? He stunk and thats the lesson.
My line of thinking on it is - Even if this class is extremely thin, just UDFA a punter or sign one in the offseason. The roll of the dice in the 4th might have yielded a player at a position of need that turned out to be a steal. Even if you swing and miss, the chance at it is worth it, IMO.
I guessed the Rams because of the number of picks they have but it was between them and the Saints for high confidence on who takes Rattler.
