When it's high yes. It will probably look better after a few picks are made. Most teams in our mocks used to hate getting future picks but lately it's been the opposite and they see the value.
It's kinda funny to me because in the earlier years, I was the main person trying to get future picks. It got harder and harder as the years went by, and for a long time it seemed like no one wanted to either give them up or get them. Now that people are trading them again, I'm thinking maybe I should have taken the time to do an update "Future Picks" tab for the spreadsheet after all. No one ever really used it before, but this year it might actually come in handy.
It was the future first round pick. Only reason. I declined a better trade from someone else than what you sent in that same range for a similar reason but my brother said if I was comfortable going to 17 maybe I could make the Bills offer I instantly rejected simply for being way out of my range work. I wanted to stay in the teens and I really liked the value of the Bills trade. I only accepted after getting those 2 4ths. My original 4th to Jacksonville was the deal we made IF I could get more from Buffalo. I did and I wanted to make the move instantly instead of later being stuck at 28. I'm after a group of players, not just 1, but of course I have preferences.
thanks to NE trading back and not sure of their intentions, left me looking to move up to get my QB…. Was really looking @10 with the Jets so they could get some sort of revenge on NE for letting the Steeler's take the player they coveted, regardless of what the jets say then and now… but with the number #9 Overall pick, The Las Vegas RAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIDERS select
Right, but how well will everyone know the second teams they're taking on? I'll probably just double check when trades come through that involve future picks. No team started this draft without a 2025 first rounder, so we're good so far.
Ahhhhhh got ya, you thought something actually happened and I forgot to post my pick, Al Davis loves the dramatic, God rest his soul, so without further adieu,
I just put 'em in a tab on a sheet early in the draft when they matter. Here's my trade: Cin sends Tee Higgins, 1.18, 2.49, 2025 3rd to LAC. LAC sends 1.5 to Cin Al Davis helped shape the NFL to what it is today. People make fun of him, but he was an amazing leader and agent for change. I'm no Raiders fan, but I'm old enough and smart enough to recognize just what he did for the game.
@notacos4u ... could you please clarify the player you are selecting? I'm thinking that the picture that I see posted here doesn't match the name that I see in the spreadsheet...
Yeah he went senile. But before that he was probably one of the 3 most influential voices in creating the modern NFL. And fearlessly took on the league on more than one occasion. Legend! If he should be judged harshly for anything, it’s Mark’s hair
