I got it set right on page 1 Torgo. Not sure if it's only working because of you or what. But still, good things.
It's a combination. Sharing it isn't enough - apparently we also have to tell it that we want to publish it by embedding it onto web sites.
@Torgo Seattle New Orleans Houston LA Rams Only 4 teams remaining. Want to take your pick?? @Campbell we stole the Ravens (your 2nd away) because we got a volunteer. So if you really want a 2nd, hop in while you can. @notacos4u so I've written you in for both Miami and the Raiders. But IF this new guy I know and invited joins the site tomorrow to participate I'll give him the Dolphins. Coolio?
Nah, I'm good. I'll take the very last one or two remaining, and if other people pop in late and want to join, they can take one or both of my teams.
Well if you aren't going to steal them, I kinda want a crack at the Rams. I like McVay, Kupp, loved Gurley when he played. Sort of a secondary team for me.
Quick note for EVERYONE: The draft tracking sheet that you see at the top of this page is also at the top of Page 1. Right now it's displaying the list of GMs, but the list of tabs is at the bottom. Click on the tab name that says "Big Board". It's a huge list of 600 prospects. Hopefully that will be enough to cover everyone that we will all want to draft. But if you get to your pick and you Stump The Truck, that's fine - one of us (RTTruth, LAOJoe, and myself) will add your selected name to the list as needed. The names are sorted alphabetically (by first name, sorry...). You can use that as a quick guide to see if Your Guy is still available or when he was taken. If he has been taken, the overall pick number will be to the left of the name. There are separate tabs for each round, showing the schedule and who has those picks. When we get to those points of the draft, we'll rearrange the tabs so that the current round is displayed. Since we're still filling in the teams, the Participants tab is the one you see displayed. Enjoy!
everything in one thread? Discussion and picks? Chargers and Jets are open for trade offers for Picks 5 and 10, respectively. Send me a pm if ya wanna move into 5 or 10.
Good point here... we need to let everyone know the rules. @RTTRUTH will add them to the second message on page 1, but I'm assuming we'll go by the basics that I used the last two years and that Tim used in the first draft that we just completed. Here's the important stuff: Trades = do not have to be approved by moderators. If you have two teams, you can't trade between your teams. And you obviously can't trade what you don't have - the Falcons can't trade Patrick Mahomes to the Seahawks for the #1 overall pick, for example. The way to make a trade is to negotiate with the other team, probably via private message. When you reach agreement and strike a deal, you both post it as a regular message here on the board, and boom - it's done. One of the moderators will catch up and update the spreadsheet when we see it, but you're good to go as soon as you both post it. If someone is late to make a pick, the next team is free to pick at the start of the scheduled time slot, like in the real draft, and the late GM makes the late pick whenever he can. We'll deal with more extreme situations (eg someone completely goes missing) as needed.
The Seahawks and Texans are the last two remaining teams. I'll be the caretaker for them so that we can get the draft rolling, but they're still up for grabs at any time. If you want a second team or know someone who might want to join a mock draft and take one or both of those teams, feel free.
More notes for EVERYONE regarding the schedule... If all the picks ahead of you have been made or are late, you can go ahead and announce your pick at any time. You don't have to sit around and wait for the scheduled time. We usually do get way ahead of schedule, so heads up that your pick is likely to be "on the clock" long before your scheduled time. We also have both early birds and night owls in our group, so it shouldn't be too surprising if a bunch of picks get announced overnight. The posted times are Eastern Standard. Round 1 is set at 1 hour time slots per pick. But in order to fit this thing in before the real draft and leave time for a potential DRAFT CHALLENGE based on it, things have to speed up a bit after the first round. Rounds 2 and 3 are set at 30 minutes per pick (just like the draft we just finished), but rounds 4-7 are set at 20 minutes per pick. If you think you might not be around when your pick comes up, feel free to send a list of your top two or three names to @LAOJoe or @RTTRUTH or myself or someone else you trust.
And... @Jace Sweet , @MaroonTyphoon , @neanderthal ike , @Bowesrbroncos13 , @Dcat , @Roadblock , @Silver&black , @ShanePHallam , @notacos4u , @AndyAmrine404 ,@ovfd55 and anyone else I might have missed who joined my drafts the last two years and/or joining this one now, I can't stress enough how good it is to have all of you on board and joining us. Most of the old-timers here were refugees from the old CBS forums who found their way to Tim's "Mud'n'cleats" web site when CBS suddenly pulled the plug without warning. Tim (@Campbell ) keeps this forum going so that all of us have a place to rant about sports. But naturally, over the years we've had a lot of former members fade away and move on. So it's great to have more people coming in to help keep the forums active and keep these mock drafts going. Welcome aboard!
Bears will want to trade down from #9. #1 pick is predrafted to @RTTRUTH in case I’m not around (you all know who it is if you want to pencil it in)
