I know Cowher didn't win a SB until he had a franchise QB, but they always seemed to have a great o line and average QBs looked better than they were behind it. With Warren and Harris along with a real line, the run could flourish.

Another jackass off my board. WR Jermaine Burton punched a woman after a loss, transferred to Alabama shortly thereafter. The coaches at the Senior Bowl more or less did not want him in Mobile.

Path to the Draft, former RB Robert Turbin thinks the range for Quinyon Mitchell is 15-44. Yes this clown thinks Mitchell could make it to the 13th pick in the second round. Logic is level of competition. and production. Did he watch the Senior Bowl practices? He said his interceptions went down in 2023 to one INT after he had 5 in 2022. Well no shit you fucking jackass, teams weren't throwing to his side of the field. Damn I hate it when these guests interject their "wisdom" into the draft. Another thing about Mitchell, he could have jumped into the portal and played almost anywhere. He committed to Toledo and he was LOYAL TO THE PROGRAM WHO WANTED HIM AND GAVE HIM A SCHOLARSHIP. There's a word for that it's called Character.

Yeah beach notice the lack of ILB. It looks like OL, CB, or WR in round 1 and 2. Although Cooper would be a great value at 51.

I still say Barton offers more than Powers-Johnson but I am happy with either or.
Ran some simulators, now I can't seem to get Leggette, Franklin, or Corley at 51. Pearsall and Wilson are usually available. Sainristill at 84 is usually good, but gone by 98. Forget Melton in the 3rd, he is a fast riser. Mims may have more upside, but Guyton is closer to starting. Fuagua might be plug and play, kid is an animal, but you have to consider arm length which ultimately could push him to 20. Out of all the other CB's not named Mitchell, Terion Arnold is my guy at 20. If you watch tape he has more TFL and can blitz, which is a big advantage over Nate Wiggins. Kool-Aid is a bit grabby for me and I have him rated late first. Wiggins has that third gear, makes up ground quickly, so it comes down to do you want physical, or blinding speed. Late rounds there are 3 dudes that will be targets. Logan Lee, Travis Glover, and Jaden Crumedy I see at least one of these players being taken in round 6. Round 4 pick 119, this is interesting. The way the board falls I see DT or Safety. Kristian Boyd falls in this range as does McKinley Jackson. If somehow Braden Fiske makes it into the 3rd round, I expect Kahn to make a move. I also expect Kahn to move into the 5th somehow, too much talent between picks 119 and 178. My Jordan Travis dream is just that, I don't expect them to draft him, but I do like the idea of having a healed up playmaker when either Wilson or Fields is out the door. Another two guys not being talked about much, fit what the Steelers want at WR, day 3 targets for me would be Cornelius Johnson Michigan and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint Georgia. Think about it, need a WR4, and this team loves to draft players from Georgia and Michigan. Wisconsin doesn't have much in this draft, it's Michigan who has more players than anyone by a landslide

Latest draft simulator results. This is Me picking BTW.

    20. Graham Barton OL Duke Took him over JC Latham
    51. Xavier Leggette WR S. Carolina Coin toss here, Cooper was available
    86. Mike Sainristil CB Michigan (trade back 2, picked up pick 189) great value had room for error
    98. Austin Booker OLB Kansas This is StlCrtn's guy. One year starter, but he has "it" will be a good 3 down LB in a few years. For now a ST demon.
    119. Tykee Smith S Georgia Smaller safety, but he hits and covers, replacing Mike Hilton.
    178. Justin Eboigbe DL Alabama too much value, and Logan Lee was off the board.
    189. Nehimiah Pritchett CB Auburn no idea why he fell this far, no much WR talent left so I doubled up on CB
    195. Cadeen Wallace OT Penn St. absolutely a no brainer, OL depth and I think Pro Football Network has him rated too low. Wallace and OC Nourzard, somehow they don't like Penn State linemen.

I have a lot of guys in this draft sprinkled throughout each round…including some guys that probably will go undrafted.

Steelers had predraft visit with Ladd McConkey. I’m officially pounding the table for him to become a Steeler.

Pearsall, McConkey, and Wilson are the 3 WRs I absolutely love as 2nd round talents. Even more than the Texas duo and Franklin. Legette has a chance to be special, but it shouldn’t happen in Pittsburgh.

Love to see him come to the Steelers but I don’t see him falling to us in rd2 and definitely not selecting him at 20, but if he stays healthy, I think he’s going to real good and could have a season like Nakua…. He’d be deadly in KC especially considering they might lose Rice for an extended period of time next year

Listening to movin’ the chains mock draft on Sirius…. They had Minnesota trade this years #1 (11), next years #1, 4th round next year, AND Jordan Addison to the Chargers for the #5 pick…. No way, I would do that…. I understand you might have to give up extra for a QB, but holy hell!!! So next year, they would only have a 3rd round pick… smh

still waiting for the Steelers pick

this is the type of player to avoid. ^

Again, moving back or up to the 5th Like Cornelius Johnson if Kahn shuffles back or up. Or maybe he lasts?

Depot has a post on clusters, I like it. Different perspective of course than mine. One note here, and I happen to agree with Scott about the fit. Pittsburgh needs a guy who lines up on the boundry. Malachi Corley is not that guy. So I keep coming back to Leggette, who will be able to handle press man.

McConkey is a crafty guy, who has a history of just missing major injuries. How many times can he roll the dice. I like bigger WR like Leggette at 51.

Ran another simulator, just missed out on some really good guys I wanted, had to settle. I made one trade, I moved back from 119 (didn't like the board) and gave up 119 and 178 for 129 and 167. Also gave up 84 for 85 and picked up 156.
    20. Graham Barton
    51. Ricky Pearsall
    85. Mike Sainristill
    98. Jerimiah Trotter Jr.
129.Audric Estime RB Notre Dame, very underrated player, tested poorly, just watch the film.
    156. Tykee Smith S Georgia
    167. Cadeen Wallace OT Penn. State
    195. Cornelius Johnson WR Michigan

Looks good until you realize I ignored DL. Even though Estime was a steal at 129 my pick should have been Tykee Smith, then come back at 167 for Justin Eboigbe DL Alabama. I still could have gotten Wallace at 156. It's harder than it looks, that is why you work with a team and a universal board. You also have to cross off positions as you go.

Tried the simulator again different results, ended up with only 6 picks. I jumped up from 51 to 42 and gave up 84. Crazy you say, see below to see why I did t.,
    20. Talise Fugaua
    42, Graham Barton
    98. Mike Sainristill
    119. Jamari Thrash
    178. Neimiah Pritchett
    195. Logan Lee

Double dipped at CB, missed ILB. At 178 I could have gone Marist Liufau ILB Notre Dame instead of Pritchett. Waiting until 119 for a WR, tough call, Thrash is a good player BTW. Happy that I got both Barton and Fuagua.

I had an Omar Kahn draft, traded 3 times, this is he result. 10 players, and I think 7 make this team. It can be a lot of fun like this one, or tv brick not fun. profootballnetwork.com

    32. Zach Frazier OC West Virginnia (traded with Buffalo, picked up 28, 60. Traded 28 with KC picked up 32, 95, 144
    51. Xavier Legette WR S. Carolina
    60. Edggerin Cooper ILB Texas A&M
    88. Kris Jenkins DT Michigan (traded back from 84, gave up 84, 195, picked up 88, 169,
    95. Mike Sainristil CB Michigan
    98. Austin Booker OLB Kansas
    119. Audric Estime RB Notre Dame
    144. Cornelius Johnson WR Michiagan
    169. Jarvis Brownlee CB Lousiville
    178. Javon Foster OT Missouri

I think RIce will not play in 2024. The charges he faces are 20 years in prison, even with a plea deal, Goodell has to set an example.

    20. OC JPJ
    51. WR Malachi Corley
    84. OT Anthony Belton NC State ????
    98. Beaux Limmer C Arkansas
    119. TJ Tampa CB Iowa State

5 picks and 1 defensive player. Not one but two centers . Steelers need for slot WR isn’t as pressing as WR2 . TJ Tampa isn’t lasting to rd 4. Anthony Belton isn’t even fucking eligible until next April. And 3 OL in 5 picks . Really lazy and insulting to draftaholics
