The NFL has announced that Green Bay will face Philadelphia in the first ever game in Brazil. It will be played on Friday, September 6, the night after the Chiefs host the regular-season opener.

The game will stream exclusively on Peacock, with over-the-air broadcasts in the two markets the teams represent.

When is the NFL going to figure out that the rest of the world DOESN'T like American football?? And Brazil of all places?? Didn't they screw up the Olympics a few years ago? Hell. Mexico couldn't even give us a decent field to play on!! Damn third world countries!! Play a game in Hawaii in December. Teams will line up to get in on that!! Do you see the Brits holding a cricket match in Pittsburg? How many fans will that draw??

Actually Brazil has some of the nicest soccer fields in the world.

Edit: I agree Hawaii would sell, the pro bowl always did well until they moved it.

You might be surprised how well a cricket game would sell in Pittsburgh. I’m 3 hours away, if they hyped it up the way the NFL did, I would go.

OJ simpson has died at 76. Don't know what to say because everything up til 1992 or so was great. After that....

Johnny Cochran is probably up there arguing for his soul. I think he might lose this one...

What makes you think that Cochran is even up there?? Leave alone OJ.

Cochran can talk himself out of anything. OJ still needs to be judged... shouldn't take a jury of disciples to figure that one out though.

Maybe the Steelers will sign him for the vet minimum and tell him to beat out Wilson.

Seriously, Im ok with Brady talking about a comeback. I doubt it ever happens, but I cant blame him for considering it. Maybe he's already forgotten what it feels like to get pan-caked. One hit by Watt or someone similar will put him right back on the couch. He is the 'goat' so the goat can talk, lol.

The game will be at Corinthians Arena, which is regarded as one of the finest. It's an interesting choice for the NFL because the seating capacity is only 47k. But in this case the league is making its real money from NBC/Peacock for having it as an extra prime time game - it's the Friday night of Week 1.

Devonta Smith agrees to three-year extension with Eagles

Wide receiver Devonta Smith is in his fourth year with the Eagles and he’s set to remain with the team for four more years.

The Eagles announced that they have exercised their fifth-year option on Smith’s rookie contract for the 2025 season and that they have agreed to terms on a three-year extension with the wideout. That ties Smith to the Eagles through the 2028 season.

Smith’s 2025 salary will be $15.591 million and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the extension is worth $75 million. That total includes $51 million in guaranteed money.

The Eagles have also extended the contracts of guard Landon Dickerson and tackle Jordan Mailata this offseason, so they have secured extended runs with several key offensive players as they head toward the 2024 season.

Colts agree to two-year, $46 million contract extension with DT DeForest Buckner

The Indianapolis Colts handed defensive tackle DeForest Buckner another contract extension.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the Colts and Buckner agreed to a two-year extension worth $46 million, per sources informed of the situation. Indianapolis has since announced the news.

Buckner had been slated to enter the final year of his initial four-year, $84 million contract inked in Indy after a trade with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 30-year-old remains one of the dominant interior defenders. He requires double teams, can penetrate and stuff the run. He's proven to be a load in the middle of Gus Bradley's defense in Indy and can discombobulate an entire offense.

In four seasons with the Colts, he's earned two Pro Bowl nods and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2020. Extremely durable, Buckner hasn't missed a game in the past three seasons and can play all three downs. Given his talent, health and style, he's likely to continue to be productive into his 30s, which makes this a smart deal for the Colts.

The $23 million-per-year average in new money puts Buckner No. 7 among active interior defenders, per Over The Cap.

For his career, Buckner has generated 61 sacks, 544 tackles, 80 tackles for loss and 161 QB hits in eight seasons.

The extension continues an offseason trend in Indianapolis, with the Colts re-signing or extending 10 of their own players.
