Based on how your board broke this feels very realistic for the Giants. I just have no idea if they actually like McCarthy or if it's smoke and mirrors from the front office / HC.
Feels eerily similar to every team loving Will Levis. Don't think McCarthy falls to Round 2 or anything, but I'm still out on McCarthy in the top ten. But, we will see
And people were making it political when Niagara Falls called a preemptive state of emergency. I'm also in the eclipse zone but I think my buddy is driving down to Fort Erie (opposite Buffalo) so he gets 5 minutes of totality vs 2. Clouds here are projected to clear up just after it rains only half an hour before the event.
At this point I'll just throw it out there. When I have been most right or wrong about a QB it's been because I trusted/didn't trust the special. When I have been most wrong about guys it's because I overvalued the routine. I don't see the special when I watch McCarthy. Now if you tell me what makes him special is reading defenses and throwing guys open then I'll start to listen and maybe even believe. The guy seemingly has a good head on his shoulders, and obviously can deal with hard coaching and run an nfl style offense. So it's not that I think he's a bum. But without anything that stands out as really special about his game I am just looking at a small sample size and trying to project what feels like even more then normal. And there is already so much damn projection to this.
