I like the theme on this years CMD thread, some interesting takes, some new posters, and some old friends, started on CBS in 2007. As I got older I made this more fun than losing sleep at night.
3 things dropped Penix. Age, history of injury, played like dog shit vs. Michigan. But the kid has a rocket for an arm, and the ability to drop a 40 yarder into a bucket. I like the pick at this point in the draft. Raiders really need to move on from Jimmy G, who for me is always injured or underperforming. Ever notice how these NE QB's (sans Brady) do poorly outside of the Patriots. And don't get me started on their coaches without Hoodie. McDaniels is a fucking train wreck wherever he went outside of Boston. Matt Patricia was run out of Detroit too, now they got a great coach in Campbell. I like the direction that Raiders, Texans, and Patriots took with former LB's who can still communicate with the Social Media and Phone Zombie generation.
IMO, if it would fall this way they really need to jump on him despite the knocks. Change in scenery, coaches, schemes and a professional rehab center to strengthen him or strengthen his weaknesses, just might work.
Something a lot of ppl surprisingly don't notice is that Nix's name is inside Penix. The innuendo might make them miss it lol.
