Police are looking for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection with a major multi-vehicle accident Saturday evening in northeast Dallas, law enforcement officials confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

A vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in a crash in the 6600 block of North Central Expressway at about 6:20 p.m., officials told The News. The law enforcement officials said police are looking for Rice, and a police call sheet obtained by The News confirmed that law enforcement officials were searching for him in connection with the accident.

His alleged involvement in the crash is unclear. Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman said the preliminary investigation determined a driver in a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver in a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane, near University Boulevard, where both lost control of their vehicles.

Lowman said the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and “hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.” The occupants of both the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the crash without stopping to see if anyone needed medical help or providing any of their information, Lowman said.

Two drivers were treated at the crash site for minor injures, and two other people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Lowman said police are still working to identify the suspects.

The police call sheet obtained by The News listed Rice as the suspected driver of the Corvette.

Rice was not appearing in Dallas County jail records as of about 9:50 a.m. Sunday. It was not immediately clear if he is suspected of any charges or if anyone was injured in the crash.

Was Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice driving the Lamborghini that was involved in a six-car accident on Saturday? Was the Lamborghini racing a Corvette?

Thanks to dashcam video of the incident, the answer to the second question is yes. The answer to the first question is definitely maybe.

Watch the video. The Corvette tries to pass a car in the left shoulder. The Lamborghini rockets into the picture from behind. The Lamborghini spins to a stop after the collision.

Look closely. It appears that one man emerges from the back seat on the passenger side — and that two emerge from the front seat on the passenger side. Based on the photos posted by TMZ.com on Monday, including the image of Rice with family members before the incident, it looks like Rice is the second person out of the front seat on the passenger side.

Which would suggest that he was the driver.

The video is better quality than the Zapruder film. It’s still not entirely clear that two men emerge from the front seat.

It’s better than nothing. Coupled with the fact that Rice leased the Lamborghini and the lease agreement specifies that only Rice could drive it, it’s looking more likely that Rice was driving. Which introduces far different penalties for leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries.

The Chiefs signed quarterback Carson Wentz to a one-year deal, Jordan Schultz of the Bleacher Report reports.

Wentz will backup Patrick Mahomes, with Chris Oladokun and Ian Book the other quarterbacks on the roster.

Running back J.K. Dobbins already had a visit with one AFC West team and now he’s meeting with another.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Dobbins is in Kansas City to visit with the Chiefs on Tuesday.

Bills traded Diggs + a 2024 sixth and 2025 5th to the Texans for a 2nd round pick.

Texans just got even more dangerous. At this pre-draft point of the offseason, Texans have to be considered a top 3 team in the AFC. I’d place them at #2 between the Chiefs and the Ravens

And the latest out of Atlanta... Ian Rapaport is reporting that nose tackle Eddie Goldman is coming out of retirement - again - to sign with the Falcons - again.

Recap... while with the Bears, he opted to sit out the 2020 COVID season. He returned and played 14 games in his final season for Chicago in 2021.

In 2022 he signed with Atlanta as a free agent... and announced his retirement TWO WEEKS later, filing his papers the following week. All of this happened in the dead time after minicamp / OTAs but before training camp.

Last year he came out of retirement to rejoin the Falcons, then had some kind of issue that was never made public and went back into retirement without even practicing in training camp.

So now he's apparently back yet again. Third time's the charm? If he finally does stick it out this time, at the very least he should be well rested. My guess is that his problems last year were related to conditioning. If he can get back into football shape, the Falcons could certainly use him. I'm certainly not counting on him sticking around though.

IMHO this is a horrible move by the Texans the last thing any young team needs is a cancerous WR who isn't as great as he thinks he is. Wonder what the over under is in when he starts bitching he isn't getting enough targets.

The Vikings came out the winners in trading him away. They got a first rounder from the Bills, which they used to draft Justin Jefferson. Minnesota also got a fifth rounder, which they traded to the Bears for a future fourth rounder - and used that pick to get Camryn Bynum. The other picks they got in the deal didn't work out so well, but they came out of it with an upgrade at WR plus another starter.

The Texans reworked Stefon Diggs’ contract after acquiring him from the Bills.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Houston wiped out the final three years of the receiver’s deal, giving him an ability to become a free agent after this season.

The Texans also took the $3.5 million guaranteed to Diggs next season and moved it into this season. That assures Diggs of $22.52 million in guaranteed money in 2024.

Diggs has no guaranteed money left on his contract after this season, but he had been scheduled to make $18 million, $19.1 million and $14.495 million in base salary in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Diggs will be motivated to show the Bills they erred in trading him and show the rest of the league what he’s worth in free agency in 2025.

Aaron Donald says T.J. Watt now has the title of NFL’s best defensive player

Aaron Donald was the best defensive player in the NFL over the last decade, but now that Donald is retired, he says T.J. Watt has that title.

Asked on Chris Long’s podcast who assumes the title of the best defensive player in the league now, Donald picked Watt.

“I think it’s T.J. Watt,” Donald said. “You talk about a guy that’s consistent. Been doing it year in, year out, consistently, that’s gonna get you 15 sacks, 13 sacks, 22 sacks, consistent. He’s the guy who’s been doing it consistently, interceptions, touchdowns, His stats are ridiculous every single year. He’s that guy to me. I know you’ve got Micah Parsons that’s coming up, you’ve got Myles Garrett, you’ve got a bunch of good players. But in my opinion, in the time I’ve seen T.J. Watt in this league, from the first time I’ve seen him to last year, he’s consistently been dominating in this league. So a lot of respect for him.”

Donald, who grew up in Pittsburgh, admitted there was a part of him that would have liked player for the Steelers, although he said spending his entire career with the Rams meant more to him.

“Before I got drafted I’d be like, it’d be dope to play for my hometown because I grew up a Steeler fan,” Donald said. “I flirted with that idea a little bit, maybe I could go home and play for the Steelers.”

Donald and Watt on the same defense would have been a dream team, but Donald spent his whole year with one team, and Steelers fans will hope Watt does the same.
