    Bears signing Gerald Everett

The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms on a deal with free agent tight end Gerald Everett, according to ESPN. The specific financial terms and the length of the contract were not immediately reported. The two sides will be able to make the agreement official at the start of the new league year tomorrow. Everett has been a solid pass-catching tight enough throughout the course of his career and had 51 receptions with the Chargers last year for 411 yards and three touchdowns. Now, he'll likely be catching passes from Caleb Williams.

OK, again... first the negligible WR making $5M more than what is considered (3) of the top RBs in the NFL, now a special teamer making just $2M less per year... How do they fix the RB discrepancy in pay? You are talking about a guy that accounts for roughly 40 yards per game and ZERO TDs getting paid $2M less per year than the guys that are in the front line of offense. I just don't get it.....

He was originally announced to sign with the 49ers but the Cowboys must have panicked and offered last moment.

    Ravens release Odell Beckham Jr.

After one season with the team, the Ravens have released veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., per Field Yates. He is designated as a post-June 1 release, meaning the team can spread the dead money over the next two seasons. OBJ's first season following an ACL injury included 35 catches on 64 targets for 565 yards (second on the team) and three touchdowns in 14 games.

Odell played well enough that he could stick with a contender. He allong with the emergence of the younger WRs helped the Ravens actually be able to pass the ball to WRs. But it was that same emergence that made him expendable.
