Let's flip this a little, and I know it's almost impossible for all of them to be there if at all any, but if Mims, Latham, JPJ, Fautanu, Q. Mitchell and Thomas are all there, who would be your choice and in what pecking order do you have them? And let's throw in Barton, because I think he could convert to center as well.

BTW, I think Xavier Worthy gets picked higher than expected due to his combine #'s and especially his 40 time. Someone will fall in love with him and overdraft him, looking at the fastest times in the 40 in history and who they are and what they turned into, that alone would scare me far away from him in the 1st.

 

If Quinyon Mitchell is sitting there at 20, whoever fills out the card better be sprinting up to Goodell.

Holy shit, wanna read what Depot put out there, it'll take you a half hour to really read and understand all the moves. My take: They gain picks and got some really good players. I was surprised they went for Payton Wilson, with his short arms, but he can cover and run like a Muther F#$%er. (injury history pushes him down). They pick up RoRoRo out of Clemson to give youth to the Defense and then Cam Hart a big corner out of ND. Hart has 2 shoulder injuries, although one was when he was a freshman. Not sure when Khyree Jackson went, but he will be 25 in the fall, kind of moved him down for me. What does every damn person see out of this Laube kid out of New Hampshire, I think he is one of those hard nosed, do anything swiss army knife guys that helps Special teams. Personally I like the kid out of Purdue better, as StlCrtn reminded me, Purdue had a shitty OL, and he still produced. I really enjoyed reading it but it's not for the faint of heart you gotta be a die hard draftnut and put a GM hat on.

 

Another take I got from Beach's post cements what I posted. Michigan's Defense exposed every weakness of Penix Jr. I saw it and said WOW and I am sure people smarter than me said the same thing. Another good take is McCarthy really wasn't asked to throw 30 times a game into super tight NFL windows, something Williams and Daniels did. Interesting breakdown of the WR, Keon Coleman is the next Quentin Johnson, good information and comparison.

Need a younger vet CB. Roster has 3 second year CB’s. Word is Levi Wallace will sign elsewhere.
Thoughts on who they should target ?

No secret that I'm a Minshew fan. He pushes the ball downfield despite having average arm strength. He's an instant boost to locker room morale. He'll get some criticism for some of the Colts losses but that D was terrible and he helped them to an opportunity to win an AFCS title.

 

Can't see them going too young. Although they do have some cap flexibility in 2025 (8th most space in the NFL). They can pretty much shape their roster anyway they see fit. I'd love to see a guy like Gardner-Johnson in a Steelers uniform. Very physical guy. Plays the run tough. Does Kenny Moore have a year or two in him? Should have never let Hilton walk. Moore is that type of guy and apparently the draft is heavy with slot-capable CBs so you could probably keep his snap count down while getting snaps for a rookie CB. If they really wanted to make a splash for a guy like JC Jackson they could afford it. It wasn't the Colbert way but Khan is a different guy. The free agent CB class is pretty deep. I'd expect a couple moves prior to the draft.

 

Not sure if you saw my post beach, but JC Jackson has apparent mental issues, that is why NE released him. Then again that could have been on Depot?

 

I like him better than a washed up Russel Wilson.

 

On Depot you would be trolled, chastised, and burnt at the stake for such blasphemy. Especially if you point out Mims isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread.

 

Some reports are coming out the Cushinberry could be a Steelers target. I would love that FA signing, then it would free up options as BPA in round 1. RT, WR (if they trade Johnson, they are taking calls), and CB (give me Q. Mitchell.)
