I definitely like the 1st two picks, I’ve never thought of Barton playing tackle in the NFL and feel he’ll move inside, talking heads are saying that he could be a good center…

Mitchell I was high on before the senior bowl and seems like more people are jumping on board and worried after the combine, he’s going to shoot even higher up the draft boards, and be gone before e we draft, kind of like Arnold is being talked about cb1 now and is starting to sign like a borderline top 10 pick.

Also agree with Travis as 4a, if he heals and continues to develop, he could be good. There’s a reason after his injury the Seminoles hopes of being in the CFB playoffs vanished with him.. all around I like your draft although not sure if Barton is around in round 2 for us either.

 

It will be moot point if they sign someone in Free Agency. Really my mock is a blind dart exercise now, because we don't know who Kahn will sign to plug holes pre-draft. I really think they address OC before hoping JPJ is there at 20 in April. If not mistaken, Herbig can play Center and Anderson is another swiss army knife guy.

 

It all sounds good but I bet half the league is thinking like this too, take Travis and stash him as insurance. As in previous drafts, I try not to key on just one guy and proclaim that is the pick. Cleveland submarined the Steelers when they drafted Alex Mack. Lyman busted my balls over that one.

why would NE trade back from 3 to 12 pass on Daniels, then draft Nix ?? Friggin’ mind boggling ;( Steelers taking Latham passing on McKinstry meh ok but also passing on Tyler Guyton who has a more athletic build and moves in space , (better fit for Pat Meyers blocking scheme .)

Guess what guys, Logan Lee met with Karl Dunbar at the combine. Whoo hoo. I am telling you this kid can play. I was not the first poster to mention him but I am certainly in his camp.

 

One of the reasons for my trade scenario, is that New Orleans needs to make trades. Here are their picks.

14, 45, 149, 167, 169,174,192, 201, 230.

Basically no 3rd or 4th, four 5ths, two 6ths, and a 7th. My opinion is that you cannot go 104 picks without a selection and expect to draft well. Pittsburgh has two 4ths and no 5th.. I can also see NO sliding back at 45 to get back into the third. Let's review the 2004 draft where Colbert moved up to get Ricardo Coclough. They left a huge gap between 75 and 145. 70 players taken when they desperately need LB help. They ended up with Nathaniel Adibi who was a need pick, and he didn't even make the team if I remember correctly.. Here is a better breakdown from someone on BTSC, pretty good article. To be fair that draft did net Big Ben, Max Starks and UDFA Willie Parker.

Another team probably interested in trading for one of our 4th round picks is the LA Rams. They have no 4th round pick and three 5ths and three 6ths. Their gap is pick 100 to 153, that is almost 2 rounds without taking a player. In general fans just spit out shit, like well trade back. They never invest the time in who needs to move up and why and what conference and division they are in. Drives me nuts.

 

What is this guy smoking??? As much as I’m sure everyone would be thrilled, there is 0% chance this remotely happens
