This never would've happened in a State where people were allowed to carry guns and defend themselves. This only happens in a blue State like Missouri. Wait... Shit.
I can’t understand why when people in a city are celebrating the sports team winning a championship always winds up with some serious confrontations between people supporting the same team. I guess it’s like fans of the same team stopping talking to each other on mesage boards.
What the hell Kyle Shanahan just fired the 49ers DC Steve Wilks it was his fault they lost the SB ?really way to shift blame Kyle your 0-3 in SB's I just don't understand this
KCPD says investigation into parade shooting continues as two juveniles face charges Authorities confirmed two juveniles were charged with crimes connected to the shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade and rally. The suspects are being detained in the county’s Juvenile Detention Center “on gun-related and resisting arrest charges.” Other charges are expected as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department continues. “I am grateful for the charges against the two juveniles who hurt innocent people, simultaneously scarring an entire community,” Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said in a statement. “Our investigators have poured themselves into this investigation, and it continues. We will not relent until everyone who may have played a part in these crimes is apprehended so that they may be punished to the fullest extent of the law. “The police department loves and is committed to Kansas City, and we resolve to bring justice to all victims.” The juveniles reportedly got into a dispute before pulling their weapons and firing. Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother of two, was killed and 22 others were injured by gunfire outside Union Station at the end of the rally. The victims ranged in age from 8-47, with half under 16. PFT
Juveniles with guns, in a State with some of the most lax gun laws in the country. Man, how could this have happened? The math just doesn't add up...
You know what's sad to me? I grew up in Northern WI and had access to guns all the time. I hunted and shot target all the time. I never once pointed a gun at a person. We respected guns and each other. Society is screwed. Parenting skills are crap. It's a good thing these punks are too stupid to build a nuke because this world would be a charcoal briquette. Instead they kill us slow with stolen guns and fentynal.
Cool and comical story here... Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti played a critical role, both in the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl. With Joe Thuney unable to play, the job fell to Allegretti. Not only did he deliver in both games, but he also played more than half of the Super Bowl with a torn UCL in his elbow. “I haven’t suffered an injury like that until then,” Allegretti told Jim Rome on Friday, via NFL.com. “I immediately knew. It was something that you heard a pop, you felt it, and knowing minimal about anatomy knew that something was wrong in my elbow. Because my elbow is not supposed to bend that way. Fortunately, we had the two-minute warning, and I had a couple seconds to gather myself, figure out that my arm still bent and I was able to go. It was a tough situation, but fortunate enough I was able to still play.” The pain, per Allegretti, was significant but not overwhelming, on a scale of one to 10. “So I was probably in that six or seven [range] right when it happened after I processed it,” Allegretti told Rome. “And then at halftime we were able to get the cream on it, massage it a little bit and then throw a brace on it. I was probably playing at about a five. It was one of those things that I could confidently use the arm knowing that most likely the UCL was already gone, so I wasn’t going to tear it any worse. So if I could deal with the pain, I could play. So it was one of those things.” Allegretti also got some advice from a teammate who is neither a doctor nor plays one on TV. “One of our backup offensive lineman, he has a masters in biology and [he] wanted to go be a doctor when he was done,” Allegretti said. “He told me, he goes, ‘Listen, you don’t need a UCL to play offensive line.’ I was like, alright, I don’t know what that means, but I don’t need it, I’m good.’ So I was able to go.” And so Allegretti, a seventh-round pick in 2019, has won his third Super Bowl ring in five NFL seasons. He truly earned this one. PFT
Farmers who want to buy ammonium nitrate to fertilize their fields have to register for a AN user number and subject themselves to scrutiny from the Department of Homeland Security because 167 people died in Oklahoma City 30 years ago. But 413 people can get shot in Vegas and we don't change a fukn thing. So dumb.
I think that you and I would agree that getting a permit to buy fertilizer is STUPID. Where do you get the number 413 people shot in Vegas? Is that the whole year? Look at Chicago (20+ a weekend) and other big cities. It's more!! What do you propose???
I wouldn't agree. But I don't want to take this conversation too far. It could lead places Tim surely wouldn't appreciate.
I was thinking the same thing. Let's just leave it alone. When I first saw these posts, I honestly thought I was on the general discussion board. Then figured out that I wasn't. Sorry @Tim.
Chiefs edge rusher Charles Omenihu is on the mend. Per James Palmer of NFL Media, Omenihu underwent successful surgery to repair his torn ACL on Tuesday. Omenihu, 26, suffered the injury during Kansas City’s AFC Championship Game victory over Baltimore. He is under contract with the Chiefs through 2024. After serving a six-game suspension to start the season, Omenihu was a key rotational player along Kansas City’s defensive line. In 11 games with one start, he recorded 7.0 sacks, five tackles for loss, and 11 quarterback hits along with two forced fumbles and two passes defensed. He recorded a strip-sack in three postseason games. A fifth-round pick in 2019, Omenihu has recorded 18.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and 52 quarterback hits in 72 career games.
Sean McVay promises not to waste timeouts after hiring game management coordinator For all his brilliance at game planning and play calling, Rams head coach Sean McVay has made more than his share of mistakes as a coach, specifically when it comes to clock management. That was particularly notable in the Rams’ playoff loss to the Lions, when McVay blew two timeouts early in the second half of a game that ended with the Lions running out the clock to secure a one-point win. Recognizing that’s an area where he needs to improve, McVay hired John Streicher as a new addition to the coaching staff with the title of game management coordinator, and McVay cited the timeout mismanagement as the kind of thing Streicher will help him avoid. “Not use my timeouts in the second half until I need to,” McVay answered when asked what Streicher will help him with. McVay said Streicher has been very well respected in the NFL for his work with the Titans over the last six years. “This game management coordinator, there’s a select group of people who have really earned a great reputation around the league,” McVay said. “You look at what this guy’s reputation has been in Tennessee, working closely with Mike Vrabel, and I think from afar I’ve always admired and respected how they handle situations. There’s an innate understanding of the rules and how to be able to use those to your advantage, clock management, some of the situational things that do end up coming up. He’s done a lot of different things for Tennessee, but when they ended up having a transition, he was a guy that came available, and you wanted to be able to jump at the opportunity to get him on board because I think he’s gonna be really valuable. I’ve really enjoyed being around him in a short amount of time and getting some exposure to the passion he has for that specific part of the game, while also having a big-picture capacity for it schematically, and also being able to evaluate personnel. So that’ll be the focus and concentration.” McVay made two self-deprecating jokes about his timeout usage, saying another time during his meeting with the media on Thursday, “Maybe I won’t burn my timeouts in the second half so early.” PFT ________ ___________________ I kinda find this laughable, but i am easily amused.
Sean Payton did that all the time. I don't know how many times we'd get to the second or fourth quarter with only one timeout left. Drove me crazy!!
Bengals inform Tee Higgins that he’ll receive franchise tag The Bengals will be keeping their top two receivers in the fold. For now. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Bengals have informed Tee Higgins that the franchise tag will be applied. The move will keep him from becoming an unrestricted free agent. It will result in an offer of a one-year, fully-guaranteed contract worth $21.816 million. With the news coming before the start of the Scouting Combine, a clear message is sent to any teams interested in trying to recruit Higgins via the rampant tampering of Combine week — don’t bother. The Bengals and Higgins will have until July 15 to negotiate a multi-year deal. With Higgins in line for a 20-percent raise if tagged again in 2025 ($26.18 million), Higgins reasonably should expect at least $48 million fully guaranteed at signing. If not, he should play on the tag and see if the Bengals tag him again in 2025. The move comes at a time when receiver Ja’Marr Chase is eligible for, and wants, a major second contract. The real question is whether the Bengals can afford to keep both of them over the long haul. PFT
