What is the off-season roster limit? Only language I could find is...

Monday, July 15th (11:59) - First Cutdown Deadline
Rosters must be at the maximum of 45 players (IR not included)

Monday, August 12st (11:59) - Second Cutdown Deadline
Rosters must be at the maximum of 40 players (IR not included)

Monday, September 2nd (11:59) - Final Cutdown Deadline
Rosters must be at the maximum of 35 players (IR not included)

So what is it before the first cutdown to 45?

 

From the rules book (located in the offseason FA section):
Owners may sign any number of players until they have filled the roster maximum of 35.

 

Okay so how does that reconcile with the cut-downs? Sorry if I'm being dense.

 

Not a problem.

The rosters expand for the draft, with slots for both drafted players and the ability to sign UDFAs.
