Not a huge fan of PFF, Please Fart Frequently, but I like the chart here on Khyree Jackson. You can scroll down he is on page 5. In 2023 he gave up 19 catches for 200 yards on 38 targets, with a QB rating of 41.1. One TD allowed, 3 picks. If you look to the left column you can see the passer rating of Penix with Odunze, Polk, and Mc Millan his passer rating against was 49.4. Kind of a later bloomer, didn't see much action in 2021 and 2022, probably because the Ducks had Christian Gonzalez. Currently ranked 115 on PFF and 117 on NFL mockdraft data base. Steelers pick at 119, 120. Makes a ton of sense if they go with trenches and a LB early.

 

the Steelers like a few centers, the WVU, the guy from Miami. I swear I read about someone else but can’t find the article.

We also held on to a QB that very likley did sexualy assualt a woman.

I prefer Mims and Mitchell over Kool-Aid. And push comes to shove are you taking the 3rd best CB or the 5th best OT. I am taking Jackson Powers-Johnson, best Center in the draft.

Like the thought process but........ Fuagua is gone by 20. Also they only have one 4th round pick listed, Steelers have picks 119,120. They are missing ILB in this one, probably rounds 3 4 if they go with Khyree Jackson, which I think they might since all 3 rookie CB's were at least 6'2" including Darius Rush. They also wait too long to address the DL. Free Agency is going to dictate a lot of the answers and holes to fill. I got confidence in Omar.

 

Just looking the way the board is stacked, I can almost guarantee OL or CB in round 1. After watching the SB and the two teams that played had outstanding OL and DL play by the 49ers, and CB play by Kansas City. PIck your poison but QB aside you have to build up your roster. Rumors of Tannehill coming to Pittsburgh, depends on the price and what Rudolph does. I just don't see the DL depth or talent to go first round or even second round actually. Probably not a player like Fred Warner in the draft, but I am looking hard at coverage linebackers, my favorite guy for that is Cedric Gray.

The pick of Mims makes sense. He has size, upside, from The University of Georgia, I cannot fault his pick at 20. The run on OL starts with the Bengals 18, 20,21,24,25,27. So if Pittsburgh were to go CB, the OL board would be much thinner in round 2. Where I find it curious, compared to other mocks, is the amount of QB's taken, in fact NE moves up for Bo Nix, trading with Baltimore, but passes on Drake Maye. As I have said maybe here or Depot, Daniels will be the second QB taken. In this mock, Atlanta moves up for Maye, in this scenario they would almost have to, they have a RB, and a TE in place, but they need a upgrade at QB. Some other notes I had was how far Ola Fashanu fell, all the way to 18. Cincinnati. Talise Fuagua as in any other OT we mention early on in the process, has climbed all the way up to number 6 to the NYG. A name you don't see in 1 round mocks very often, is at 32. KC Roman Wilson WR Michigan. Notice the run on CB's starting at 17 with Quinyon Mitchell going before Wiggins, and McKinstry. The run is 17,19,22.26 that is after the top CB went 8. LA Chargers Terrion Arnold CB Alabama.

Ryan Wilson has the Steelers taking Penix at 20. I hope the Steelers don't get into that cycle of reaching for QBs in a vain attempt to stumble on the right guy. They have too many areas of need. Kenny isn't the guy but there's free agent options including keeping MR.

I thought this redraft was interesting. Keeanu Benton really impressed. They put him as a top 10 pick going to the Eagles. It's a hypothetical exercise, but it shows Benton was a good pick.

No fucking way are they throwing in the towel on Pickett without another draft to build up the OL and give him another weapon to go along with a brand new OC. Steelers Depot is anointing Field Yates as some well known mock draft expert and the mock as credible, I strongly disagree, and I never even heard of this assclown Yates, Anyone else even heard of this jagov? If I was going to draft a quarterback in this draft outside of the top ten picks I would draft Travis Jordan and let him sit at least his first season. But the pick wouldn’t be before the 3rd round and hopefully he would last until rd four.
