They could have, but it might’ve cost the locker room. They just put up 30 points for the first time in almost 2 years, offense looked good and they finished drives. After the second game, there was no going back this season.
As much as I am not sold on Pickett as the QB of the future, I feel he has received little to no coaching to progress him as a QB, heck Pete Carroll took Geno Smith and made him look like a somewhat competent QB. Before that, Russel Wilson, how's Wilson faired since leaving Seattle, oh that's right, he's about to be unemployed. One way or another, we need to do something, mediocre and another "winning record" sucks!!! Took the time to do a little looking up some stats: Tomlin: 17 Seasons HC 62.9 win % 11 out of 17 years making the playoffs, and 2 of those seasons are after they expanded to 7 teams otherwise, he'd be down 9 out of 17, so pretty much 50% 8-10 Playoff Record 8-8 year before Tomlin took over 11-5 year before that and won the Super Bowl 0 assistant coaches hired to head coaching jobs, shows further the failure to develop and obtain quality assistants Cowher 15 Seasons HC 62.3 win % 10 out of 15 years making the playoffs 12-9 Playoff Record 7-9 year before Cowher took over 9-7 year before that 9 assistant coaches hired to head coaching jobs Carroll 14 Seasons HC 60.6 win % 10 out of 13 years making the playoffs 10-9 Playoff Record 5-11 year before Carroll took over 4-12 year before that 3 assistant coaches hired to head coaching jobs
Some numbers: Steelers are now 1-11 without Watt Steelers have been out scored 66-0 in the first quarter of the last 4 playoff games. Percy Harvin’s net avg yesterday was 38.5 , if you threw out the one good punt (51.0) it was 32.2 yards. Buffalo’s punter was 48.0 and he was injured . draft or sign a punter Draft or sign a coverage LB TE’s are killing this team New OC with innovative ideas similar to Bobby Slowick or Ben Johnson Need a dominant RT , slide Jones back to LT Need to replace Cam teams run more successfully when he’s on the bench The play call on the int. Gotta put it where onlyyour guy can catch it. Did they forget the red zone TE , taller guys who can high point the ball. Mason isn’t a starting QB but he’s the one most likely to win the most games on the roster. Which means jelly bean hands Pickett ain’t it and show Trubisky the door. I caution everyone on dumping Chucks and Moore until you have better talent. And is our OL coach the best available option ? -
Tomlin told the team he was coming back for 2024. We better get a good OC and maybe replace the DC too. Get a real coach for the jobs not projects that are not proven.
Found this when reading an article on yahoo it was posted by a fan. Have not verified it yet so if there are errors feel free to poit them out. Tomlin probably thinks he has to right the ship. He doesn’t realize that he’s in Pittsburgh, and righting the ship means being relevant in the post season, something that he hasn’t done since 2010.
Probably. KC/Buff will give them a good game though, have slightly more faith in Buffalo being able to knock them off though. KC WRs are too inconsistent to feel comfortable with. On the other hand Buffalo is beat up on defense…all adds up to the Ravens being favorites next week no matter who wins tonight
Stole this from a Depot poster to sum up 2023 and our QB room. Pickett regressed Mason Impressed Trubisky Depressed
Report: Steelers Request Interview With Rams' Zac Robinson For OC Position Looks like OC will be a younger innovative type
Like the young and inovated part but fear hell be to much under Tomlins thumb we need a guy that has the attitude we need him moremthan he needs us.
My wife is a Chiefs fan but I'd be cheering for them even if she wasn't i hate the ravens id even cheer for Tom Brady vs them.
The Good: Baltimore thugged their way to the loss. Jackson continues to choke in the playoffs. Ha ha Fuck the Ravens
