Our defense is crap without TJ
Rudolph played good besides the interception.
The refs refused to call anything against the Bills.
Maybe we should trade TJ for Chicagos two first round picks, we can’t do anything without a quarterback and then we could get the cream of the crop in the draft

Our defense has played like that in some games with Watt

We need more pressure from the DL and ILBs another CB that's not a reclamation project.

I was happy with Mason. The INT killed them but, overall, he shows some promise. He's not the answer IMO but he's a solid two. Dump KP and Mitch and sign a real QB or trade for one.

I don’t think the QB or offensive coordinator of the future is currently on this team. Like someone else previously mentioned, we never have to worry about losing coaches from any of his staffs, because no one wants them…. He doesn’t build a coaching tree.

Steven A Smith went off in regards to the cowboy way and the cowboy standard and how none of their players live up to the standard.

'There does come a point in time when Dak Prescott needs to shut the hell up,' Smith said. 'A standard? What would you know about the standard? You haven't lived up to the standard that was once set - decades before you.' I feel this way in regards to Tomlin and some of the Steelers.

He inherited a heck of a team from Cowher, and was fortunate to win one. He had Ben and the killer B’s and because he couldn’t control the locker room, wasted it away. I feel that way with a lot of what’s going on with them again. The receivers do what they want, when they want and there’s no repercussions for their actions. Team lacks a lot of discipline in a lot of areas and stupid undisciplined play cost them biggly in a bunch of games.

The Steelers need to get back to drafting for best player available, when they went with drafting for needs, it started the decline of this team. Kahn did good rebuilding this team and am hopeful with him moving forward. I’d almost rather have a couple of low win seasons and get the people we need, then to continue on with “winning” seasons and drafting later in the draft. I still love the Steelers, though.

by the way, Baker Mayfield has 2 more wins in the playoffs then the Steelers do in the past how many years???

Remember when some of the Steelers fans said we should grab him and most other steelers fans mocked it. Yeah I still think we should have grabbed him. The big knock on bker was maturity and from the way the described how guys in the locker room come to him and he can go to anybody sounds like he may have taken that next step.

Yes we need a QB but they dont grow on trees if we cant nab one they need to load up even more on defense and roll with Mason the only QB on the roster to make the offense look like a pro offense in multiple games over the past two years.

It would have been better than grabbing Trubisky

The INT in the end zone was a back breaker that ball had to be in a position in which DJ would be the only person to have a chance on that.

turnovers in general, we can’t have them we made them and didn’t cause any.

the OL didn’t show up in this game, not for nothing Broderick Jones really needs to work on his pass blocking!! The sack that Rousseau had he made him look like a blocking bag.

The tackling was abysmal and the ability to cover a TE is getting ridiculous!! First touchdown was a blown assignment between 2 veterans of the NFL, the 2nd one was the inability to cover the TE, 3rd TD was ridiculous tackling letting Allen run 50+ yards for a TD. Then the last TD was poor tackling first by Minkah then everyone else after that.

I was thinking the same about Jones. Hopefully the plan is to move him back to LT which is more natural for him, but that rep was pitiful.

I was thinking last night if Pickett would have won that game? Not questioning the decision to start Rudolph, in fact before the game I posted there was no reason for anyone other than Rudolph to be under center but since they lost and the season is over I can play “what if?” The one thing Pickett doesn’t do is turn the ball over, so would he have thrown that INT in the end zone? Unlikely, but it is likely the drive would have ended in a FG attempt after he ran into a sack, which honestly wouldn’t have made a difference. To truthfully answer my own question, no matter which QB played the result would’ve been the same, only difference would’ve been by how much they lost.

    Spot on.

You know, watching Josh Allen yesterday makes it clear how poor the QB roster is for the Steelers.

People are quick to dismiss the Steelers victories vs the Ravens and Bengals because they had backup QBs but the Steelers have had backup level QBs playing the whole season. The Bengals went 9-8 without Burrow. How are they with him? A lot better.

Even with the holes on D and other ares, this team has talent. They've got good WRs, 2 good RBs, and a good TE. Get a franchise QB and this team will be markedly better

Jack made a great play tackling the guy without the ball lol

They would have lost by more than 14 points if Pickett started

Don’t even need a franchise level QB, solid starting caliber would get the job done. Do the Steelers have that on the roster? Possibly, not completely out on Pickett with a new coordinator (provided it’s an outside proven guy) but I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket. Honestly if they are in a position to get a franchise guy or even a solid bridge a la Cousins, they should pull the trigger. Doubt they will though.

Possibly, don’t think it would have been much different honestly. Rudolph was not the only reason they lost, but damn that INT was huge. As was Picken’s inexplicable fumble. Those two turnovers almost sealed their fate. Pickens doesn’t fumble, Bills don’t get that quick change TD. Rudolph doesn’t throw that INT, 14-14 game potentially.

I thought Jack had a solid game, both those two penalties I feel were bad calls. The holding call was weak, and it was a throwaway, and on the unnecessary roughness he was in the air when Allen started his slide.

1st and goal from the 3 they tried going with a cute play WR trick motion, line up with your bigs and run the fooking ball in a power package. Then they went shotgun on 2nd down that led to the INT.

not possibly a different game it is a different game, because who knows what happens at the end of the fumble drive, but maybe we keep the ball out of Allen’s hands a little longer at the least helping out in TOP. The INT would have gave us some momentum earlier and maybe the game woulda had a different outcome.

That was the first Int for Rudolph this season. Unfortunate timing but no pickett was not winning tha game.

Here’s something they need to incorporate into the offense, it’s hot routes Ben could give his receivers a signal and they knew what to run during blitzes to beat blitzes and make the defense pay.

How it all transpired shows the coaching staff lost confidence in Pickett. Imagine QBs like Ben, Brady, Manning, a ton of other QBs early in their careers were out for a few weeks, damn right they would have been reinstated back as the starter once ready. They could have went back to Pickett for the Seattle game.
