this appears to be a "consensus" on who the all-knowing mock drafters see the Steelers potentially targeting in each round. Some of the people I'd like to see the Steelers target, others, I'm like you need Narcan because you're pretty much brain-dead from a fentanyl over dose.

 

So where is Hoodie going now? I still think the man wants to cheat, I mean coach. Bottom line is no coach is winning shit without a franchise QB.... I still like the idea of drafting Jordan Travis and stashing him on IR. I am with Beach, PIckett ain't it hope I am wrong. I am with Gideon, Rudolph is the best option. I am also in disagreement with beach, Trubisky is hot garbage. If they cut Chuks and Truelysucky, that cap space can be used to bring in a good RT or CB, then draft the one you didn't sign in FA. There is really no great Centers in FA and Van Pran might be the only day 2 blue chipper. I did see Cole play better vs. Baltimore, as did Seamalu, maybe having Rudolph back there makes them want to block better. I can tell you the overall 'tude of the WR group has turned around, winning does that.

 

Zinter is injured and where is Van Pran? Also DeJean is coming off an injury. Yes to Travis, no to Penix. Penix made my mind up when he didn't get the ball to Odunze, wide open, led him the wrong way, not enough air, that could have changed the landscape of that game.

This one scares me. Off the board: Latham, Mims, Fuagua, McKinstry, Wiggins, Arnold, DeJean. That is 3 RT's and 4 CB's. So Steelers are taking the Fourth best RT from BYU. A few spots later Detroit takes the OT from Washington, but I think he kicks inside to OG, and they just invested a high pick on Skoronski. All these mocks keep passing on Kinchens S Miami, maybe he's over rated at 30th overall, but a team with a need may gamble, Steelers did it in 2018 when they took Edmunds. Also Ebuka has not declared yet as far as I know, he is flagged as ineligible. The CBS guy I like better is Chris Trapasso.

here is his mock, all 3 top QB go bang bang bang. Realistic scenario. Am I thrilled with the DT out of Miami, not really, but someone to look harder at.

 

Going to throw yinz a curveball. At 23 Steelers take
JT TUIMOLOAU DL OHIO STATE
. He is explosive, from the BIg Ten, plays exceptional against the run, has length. He is 20 lbs. short of being ideal 5 technique. He is considered an edge rusher in a 4-3. Don't forget TJ Watt was once a TE at Wisconsin. You have to replace Cam Heyward, JT checks a lot of boxes. Not a perfect fit, but yet an explosive player, a difference maker. It's either him or the 4th best RT or CB in some mocks.

 

I feel like he’s a tad overrated. Outside of the Penn St game last year, he was pretty much a non factor, more often than not, in him time in Columbus.

LOL So Glad we are starting Rudolph Sunday, Should have never signed Trulysucky and I did say Pickett has jelly bean hands in the 2022 draft, I was higher on Willis. I only rooted for and supported him as a Steeler. As a draft pick I was not enamored. One I nailed on the QB front, Mac Suck Jones. He sucks so bad Hoodie is looking for work.

Yeah I’m a proud Michigan fan, but I understand talent. JTT is uber-talented, but he doesn’t stand out often enough. From a talent perspective, I typically like what OSU has, but I fear his work ethic won’t match the talent. A guy I love on their D-line is Jack Sawyer. Both are returning for their senior season though.

 

NyBites, many fans calling for the removal of Trubisky and the Punter from the roster and rightfully so. Many also want the Center (Cole) gone. can they use him at guard? Please advise

 

I’m not sure about Cole in regards to playing guard, but depending on how the draft plays out, there’s a kid out of Duke, Graham Barton, that I’m hearing they’re project as going to need to move inside, and there’s talk he could be a good center.

Ideally I’d like to see them get 1 of the 3 cornerbacks, ie kool-aid McKinley, Nate Wiggins, or Terrian Arnold or the tackle out of Georgia, Amarius Mims but, I think he’ll get drafted before we select. I am in no way remotely as smart as @nybites when it comes to the draft, but those are some players I’d like to see them get if available. Waiting for @nybites to tear apart my choices, lol.

 

You’ll get a CB or RT in round 1 not both. Van Pran is going to the Eagles with Kelce retiring as I predicted.
I’m looking hard at Trotter Jr. in rd 2 need an athletic ILB badly. Need more youth on the DL your best player is almost done.

 

Harvin sucks let’s move on .

We already have too many backup edge players that could start on other teams.

This one makes sense : BPA Wiggins. McKinstry, Latham, Mims all off the board. Fugua still available by I want a CB opposite JPJ . Comes down to who
They have highest rated , it might even be Terron Arnold. Senior bowl will hep sort things out to get some clarity. I did read that Wiggins flips his hips better than Kool-Aid . Final ranking for me is the back pedal and 3 cone drills.

 

It depends on what they think is more important. Personally I’m a CB away from being a great passing defense
The only other positions that we could pick in rd one are ILB and RT. We need a center in rd two.
Picks will depend on what we do in FA.

Kliff Kingsbury interviewed with Chicago for Offensive Coordinator. BTW he’s the OC of USC , and worked directly with Caleb Williams. Interesting to see where this goes.
