I just don’t want to see Atlanta in. They’d get destroyed anyways (feel the same about Colts actually), but it’s more about getting the coach fired sooner than later.

Meyer didn’t get a full year. Reich didn’t get a full year.
Smith has had 3 years (is it 4?). And all his fancy high picks. And they can barely beat even the worst teams. I’ve seen more than enough personally.

Give a new coaching staff a Jacoby Brissett or Jake Browning and the draft and let’s see what a different group can do with this group.

I honestly think the Saints are the best team in the division. Tampa is relatively healthy and holding on as mediocre. Basically comes down to Saints and falcons final week in my scenario and I just like Atlanta in that one.

Gotta be Saints or Buccs for me.
Still pieces all over that Buccs team.

I'm just saying with how that schedule plays out. I've got the Saints losing to the Rams but beating the Bucs. I've got the Bucs losing to the Jags and Saints. And Falcons losing to the Colts and beating the Bears (or vice versa) and that would result in Saints vs Falcons for the division in Week 18. And I just like Atlanta there for some reason.

I could be wrong here. I think the Saints have to run the table. (Rams, Falcons, Bucs) Then I think it comes to the tie breakers. Which I don't think favors the Saints. We're gonna need some additional help.

Well I have it at 8-9 and 3-way favours Atlanta because that would involve the Falcons beating the Saints. If Bucs lose next 2 and Atlanta wins at least 1 then the Saints vs Falcons is for the Division.

So Saints can lose to Rams if the Bucs lose to the Jags or Panthers and the Saints can lose to the Bucs if the Buucs lose to the Jags and Panthers.

He's not worth an extension if he keeps that up. Liability. Good for him for wanting to keep healthy but you need to at least attempt to block or you are of no use, at least at his level of offensive ability. You can find someone at his level that can do more than just get decent numbers while still block and tackle.

He knows Tomlin isn't going anywhere and that Pickett isn't going anywhere so the only one that can go is him. Problem is how do you get out of Pitt while on a rookie contract. Easy you play the AB handbook on how to get traded away. I have no doubt that he will be gone next season that he will be traded away to somebody who needs a WR.

I also have no doubt that if he goes to a team with a strong HC and QB that he will be a top tier WR.

Steelers passing game is ass and I'm not sure even Hines Ward would tow the company line if he were playing right now.

Pickens also likes to blame the media. They (the media) dont play football, so they dont know, he says. I bet that goes over real well.

    Just throwing it out there...

Buccs have two home games, then on the road at the worst team in football...

Week 16 - Home against a Jaguars team that is reeling, with 3 straight losses and a QB in concussion protocol
Week 17 - Home against the Saints, biggest game on the Buccaneers schedule

Win these two and the division is locked up...

Buccs defense is decent and Mayfield is starting to mesh with the offense. I could even see them winning a playoff game.

You can see any 4 seed winning a playoff game if Dallas is the 5 seed. Just not that good on the road this year.

Ive been banging that drum all year. Cowboys at home vs Cowboys on the road is apples and oranges, or Cowboys and indians. Its really weird how the difference is.

On the Pickens issue, since its pick on Pickens day...

Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was a main topic of conversation at head coach Mike Tomlin’s press conference on Wednesday.

Pickens told reporters on Tuesday that he didn’t block on a Jaylen Warren run last Saturday because he didn’t want to get injured and said he believed the media has singled him out during a frustrating season for the entire team. On Wednesday, Tomlin said he would like Pickens “to be more professional in terms of addressing his shortcomings with you guys” because “he’s not helping himself’ with comments similar to the ones he made this week.

“When you’re winning and doing your jobs, a lot of the attention is on things such as that,” Tomlin said. “When you’re not doing your job and losing, you better keep your damn mouth shut and understand that that tracks a certain type of attention, as well. And usually that’s vulture-like attention.”

Tomlin said that he and Pickens meet regularly and called the second-year wideout “very much a work in progress” who is “growing in a lot of ways in regard to football and life.” He said the team is committed to Pickens’ growth as both a man and a football player.

“He’s got talents, we want to utilize them,” Tomlin said. “He’s very much in growth and development, but it would be the same if we were winning games or if he said appropriate things to you guys yesterday. You guys might have gone away, but that wouldn’t have made me any more comfortable about this process that he’s going through. It is ongoing and continual and it will continue to require our attention.”

Tomlin said any actions that might be taken in regard to Pickens’ actions are not something he will “discuss with you guys” and confirmed that Pickens will be in the lineup against the Bengals this Saturday for what the Steelers hope will be a more positive day on the field.
