Yeah but it's like when they used to put the 4 pictures up on the electric company and say one of these things is not like the other.
Out of town long weekend. Had to watch on my phone. Pretty ugly. Trubisky was average at best. Terrible decision on 4th down. Move the chains and live to fight another day.
Guy fucking blows 2024 he better be on another roster . Pickett is on thin ice too we as fans deserve better.
Joe Flacco in his next start (his 3rd) he will probably tie and possibly pass Pickett's TD pass total. Flacco has 5 in 2 starts. Undrafted Jake Browning has 3 starts and played in 5 games (attempted only 1 pass in first appearance) and he too could tie and pass Pickett in his next start. Why do soany people think Pickett is the guy when in 24 starts he has 13 touchdown passes? Because they happen to win some ugly football games in some odd crazed way? Here's an idea if your QB throws some.more TD passes maybe you don't need a TD from the Defense or special teams to win a game.
And it was better than 1/3 of Pickett's starts this year with two days of prep, against one of the best defenses of the NFL.
Gid you're the smoker (by your own admission). You're a sideshow. Comic relief. The day anyone takes you seriously will be the end of L4SN. Go play in traffic.
The more that Beachbum talks, the less anyone should believe that he knows anything about football. Two days? He's been with the team for two years. His opponents had the same amount of prep time, as did everyone else on the offense. Something tells me that you wouldn't be excusing Pickett for "two days of prep" if it were him playing instead of Trubisky. Meanwhile, the Pats have spent the prior three weeks playing the Giants, the Raiders, and the Chargers with an injured Justin Herbert (see: the Raiders historically trouncing them last night). In the weeks prior to that, however, they were readily torched by everyone they played. Average defense at best, certainly not "one of the best defenses in the NFL". But again, something tells me this wouldn't be reserved for Kenny Pickett. For everyone reading this - he tells Gidion to kill himself, he attacks every Bears fan saying that Trubisky is the messiah, and so on and so forth. You know what he never says? That he's wrong. And considering how often that is, it should be pretty telling.
For everyone else, this is just me thinking out loud: it's been a rough season for the Steelers, but the in-season firing of Canada is the best start to fixing it that you could ask for. If the Steelers don't announce the hiring of a top-flight OC before the start of the new season, then I definitely think you have to look at canning HC / GM. Pickett was never a high ceiling pick - he was the choice because they felt he could come in and win games now. And in fairness, that's generally what he's done. But if you're going to go that route, the team around that QB needs to be stellar. I'm not convinced that they had that when Pickett was the choice, nor do they have that now. I don't know how they upgrade the QB position other than, again, taking on castaways from other teams. Arizona and Chicago seem likely to move on from their QB's, and this season has been a showcase of backup talent. I'd expect them to take some swings at signing guys with potential this offseason, and again hoping that something sticks to the wall. That, or roll with Pickett and hope that a new OC and an offseason of adding talent will make the difference. I guess it's just a question of whether they can upgrade the rest of the roster faster than they can potentially upgrade at QB.
I believe that the Steelers could get Penix or Nix in the second round of the draft. But if they really wanted to make a splash they should trade up for Marvin Harrison Jr. and roll with Pickett. Harrison is one of those generational talents and if Pickett still looked like crap you have the perfect offense for your next quarterback to step into.
They aren’t trading into the 3-5 range for anyone in this draft after QB goes 1-2. Khan is too patient for that.
