Fantasy Football Talk in General

I have to laugh at several fantasy advisors on TikTok. Last week they were all saying trade for breece hall and now are thumping their chest because of the game he had. In what leagues were people giving up Hall? One guy said his owners were desperate to trade him last week? These guys must hang out in the stupidest public leagues on the Internet. I'm in 9 leagues and nobody was shopping Hall in any of them including the one or two that have no IR slots. I follow several.of them just so I can laugh at and sometimes troll them on their advice.

 

Took 5 weeks but at last I have at least 1 win in alll nine leagues. Got my first win in two of them this past week. In one league where we play a superflex (in other words a 2 qb league) Ive struggled despite having what looks like a solid roster. Now part of that is (burrow and chase struggling). Another crazy rule in this league is no waiver. So this week im looking for a wr pickup to help me out with byes and low and behold someone had dropped DJ moore and even crazier no one had pounced on him yet but now i have and so even though im 1-4 in the league i suddnely feel veryngood about my chances.

I was saying recently somewhere I don’t ever remember a season like this.

In my oldest league, a classic ESPN redraft league I started out hot. Probably a top 3 contender easy.
But in the first six weeks lost games or seasons from:
Breece Hall
J.K. Dobbins (sure, he was predictable)
David Montgomery
Anthony Richardson
Justin Jefferson
Hell even my stud looking DST lost Trevon Diggs

After 8 weeks I’m one game out of a playoff spot and clinging on for dear life. One reason I still can’t love redraft. Soooo much luck involved. And you can’t work to the future, it’s redraft.

I agree Ruth.........this has been a year of Upsets and Injuries.

In my money league I'm 6-2 with 1st place.....BUT 4 player's at 5-3 and breathing down my neck.

I'm hoping David Montgomery comes back after Detroit BYE week.

 

More than any other season I believe the winners in most leagues will be the owner who had the least # of injuries.

 

I swear I have had more matchup luck this season than in my entire previous 25+ years of playing this game combined.

Bland gets me more points at DB than my RB's.

 

How did the 9ers win so big and Purdy only got 6 fantasy points. I should have played Pickett. He would have at least got 7

For the most part if a player went off this weekend they were either on my bench or playing against me lol

 

My brother told me to roll Nico Collins this week even though I also had Dell in.
I ignored him.

Nico outscored the guy I chose instead by 14. I lost my match by 5 points on Monday night.

That might be the game that costs me the playoffs, and I probably deserve that, despite having to navigate numerous injuries. Oh well.

 

Our ESPN league? Didn't he outscore Nico by only about 5 points, but just the difference you needed to win? You are win and in this week there. As I believe I am after starting 1-6. 7-6 now lol.

Stroud got me 4 points and a concussion. Dammmm.

 

I feel your pain not on Stroud but on others lol. I used to be in a league where we put in the back up QB rule. You would name a starter each week and a backup. If the starter went down then you would get the points from you back up QB. You only got the points from time after your starter went down though. So if he hit hurt in the midway through the 3rd you started getting.points from you back up from mid third and 4th. So if he threw three tds in the first and none the rest of the game you were out of luck twice lol. Some guys were smart and if the back up was good in the team of.your main QB you grabbed him and started him as your back up. As the commissioner I loved those best as it made scoring easy.
