From winning a second Super Bowl to Saturday Night Live to Taylor Swift mania, it keeps coming up Travis Kelce in 2023.

Kelce added some history to his calendar on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs star reached 11,000 career receiving yards, becoming the fourth and fastest tight end to do so.

Kelce's 27-yard catch in the second quarter of the Chiefs' 31-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders put him past the milestone mark. He did it in his 154th game, making him the fastest in NFL chronicle to hit 11K. Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez was the previous standard bearer at 191 games.

Kelce needed just 15 yards to hit 11,000 coming into the game, which he finished with six receptions for 91 yards and 11,076 for his career.

Kelce was already fourth all time in receiving yards among tight ends and one of four TEs with 10,000 yards. He's edged closer to Antonio Gates (11,841 yards), who he can realistically surpass in 2024. Jason Witten is No. 2 all time at 13,036 yards and Gonzalez is atop the list at 15,127 yards.

An eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, Kelce continues to pad his Hall of Fame resume and make his case as perhaps the greatest tight end of all time. The 34-year-old is already also in the top four in career receptions and receiving yards for a tight end, holds the record for most 100-yard receiving games for a TE and is on his way to an eighth 1,000-yard season. No other tight end has more than four.

Sunday marked another milestone for Kelce amid a year for the ages.

Sunday Night Football: Ravens run away from Chargers 20-10

The Ravens couldn’t do what they did the past five games, scoring more than 30 points. Points, in fact, were at a premium on Sunday Night Football.

Despite messing around, failing to put the Chargers around, the Ravens didn’t have to find out.

The Ravens pulled out a 20-10 win over the Chargers despite not being at their best. Baltimore moved to 9-3, while the Chargers fell to 4-7.

Los Angeles hung around despite four turnovers, pulling to within 13-10 on a 3-yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert to Gerald Everett with 8:32 left.

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker then did the unexpected, missing a 44-yard field goal wide left with 2:57 remaining.

The Chargers took over at their own 34 with 2:57 left and got to the Baltimore 46 before an incompletion on third-and-six. Brandon Staley, who had three timeouts remaining, opted to go for it, but Arthur Maulet came on a blitz and Herbert was called for grounding.

Three plays later, Zay Flowers was running 37 yards to the end zone to ice the game with 1:36 remaining.

The Ravens had 361 yards, but they scored only a field goal off the four takeaways.

Lamar Jackson went 18-of-32 for 177 yards and a touchdown, and he ran for 40 yards on 10 carries. Flowers caught a 3-yard touchdown and had five catches for 25 yards receiving.

Jadeveon Clowney, Justin Madubuike, Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen and the rest of the league’s top defense did their part.

Herbert was 29-of-44 for 217 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He ran for 47 yards on four carries and lost a fumble. Keenan Allen caught 14 passes for 106 yards.

Chargers edge rusher Khalil Mack had two big sacks, which prevented the Ravens from putting the game away earlier.

The Ravens head into their off week atop the AFC standings.

Frank Reich: Message doesn’t fly when you’re 1-10, but I know these games are winnable

After the Panthers fell to 1-10 with Sunday’s 17-10 loss to the Titans on Sunday, team owner David Tepper vocalized his frustration with a four-letter word.

Carolina has been ineffective on offense all season, but things are not getting any better. No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young has not thrown for 200 yards in a single game since Oct. 29. He’s still yet to throw for even 250 yards in a game this season.

After Sunday’s loss, head coach Frank Reich said it’s important to “be the same person” despite the team’s poor record and results.

“What are you going to do? You’re 1-10. What, are you going to start feeling sorry for yourself? You’re going to think something will magically fix everything? No,” Reich said in his press conference, via Alex Zietlow of the Charlotte Observer. “We lost a close football game today.

“These games are winnable. That message doesn’t fly when you’re 1-10, but I know these games are winnable. I know we have the players and the coaches to do that. So we regroup, and we get ready for this week.”

Reich added that frustration is understandable and everyone feels it.

“But the guys have been great,” Reich said. “We come in there on Mondays. Everybody’s accountable, coaches and players. We know the mode: fight to get better, it’s week-to-week.

“We got three division opponents coming up. So, it starts this week in Tampa.”

The Panthers need to start showing some improvement with the Week 13 contest or Tepper’s patience may run out sooner than later.

The 4-letter word Tepper used was "FUCK"... he yelled it after leaving the locker room after the loss.

Frank Reich believes these games "are winnable"... thats an odd thing to say, in my opinion, because he and the Panthers have not won them. He states they have the players and coaches to win, so then, why arnt they?

Im waiting for Tepper's head to explode... he's like those early tremors you feel just before the volcano explodes.

Stay tuned! Might be more drama soon...

Maybe Tepper ought to step in and be the GM, Owner, HC, DC, OC and waterboy. He's the only one on the planet with any clue... so HE thinks. I wonder if he can play QB, cuz Im sure he'd be better than Bryce Young. Hell, Tepper for President of the USA!

For three straight seasons, a head coach has been fired during his first year on the job.

Two years ago, the Jaguars made Urban Meyer the first head coach to be fired during his first year on the job since the 49ers pink-slipped Pete McCulley in 1978. (Bobby Petrino quit the Falcons during his first season, in 2007.) It then happened again in 2022, with the Broncos firing Nathaniel Hackett during his first year.

Now, the Panthers have fired Frank Reich after only 11 games on the job.

The Panthers are behind the eight ball for a long time, regardless of who they hire. No draft capital and a dearth of talent. Young can't carry them as we've seen already.

Looking at the last three new owners in the league you wouldn’t believe they came from minority ownership in the Steelers. They do everything the opposite way of the Steelers and are all suffering crappie results. The browns still haven’t gotten over the top. Signing Watson to a long guaranteed contract is an albatross around their neck.
