Babyfan's 15th Annual NFL Pick'em Contest!

Not a PT game but Bears/Panthers 2010....Todd Collins vs Jimmy Clausen. Collins threw 4 picks but Bears still won 23-6 because the Panthers were that bad. Collins was 6 of 16 for 32 yards. Only thing that saved the game for the Bears was Forte running. Just an awfully brutal game to watch. At one point it felt like the announce team was apologizing to viewers for what they were seeing.

That's what makes last year's Thursday night Colts-Broncos so tough to beat as the all time worst. The announcers actually DID apologize. When it went to overtime (tied 9-9), they joked about the agony continuing, and the commentary on the winning field goal was basically thank heaven it's finally over.

 

It's hard to imagine what they got away with then. Cosell missed the second half of a broadcast because he was so drunk he threw up at halftime. Meredith had three bad games in a row towards the end of the season - might have even been the next three weeks right after Vikings-Falcons - that led to his being dropped.

 

I very much enjoyed those days of Cossell and Meredith. They made things fun.
