The game of the century kicks off tonight. If the Bears want the #1 pick, they should win this one, since they get Carolina's pick. If they want two top 5 selections all but guaranteed, they should lose this one. Is that what the players on the field are thinking? Of course not. But that's all that matters with this game. The Panthers have some of the least offensive talent I've ever seen (and I watch the Bears play football). Bryce Young is fantastic, and I believe he can be an elite franchise QB at the NFL level... if he ever has anyone around him that can also play football. The OL here is horrendous. The skill position players don't make most rosters. The playcalling / scheming is like high school JV. If the Bears defense doesn't look dominant tonight, fire Eberflus on the spot. There should be no excuse. Offensively, just don't do enough to lose the game. Don't turn the ball over, run your multiple physical backs, and let DJ get a couple touches. Bagent starts again with Fields out. I'll be watching because it's on Amazon, so we don't have to pay anything additional for it. Youngest kiddo is sick, so I'll probably miss a good chunk of the game putting him to bed. I'm sure we'll see some top-notch football tonight.
Seems like it's a win/win tonight. If we win, then the Panthers move closer to the number 1 pick. If we lose, we move closer to the #1 pick.
I def want the Bears win tonight. That will be far more beneficial in numerous ways. They better not F this up. This would've been an ideal game to get Fields back out there and build some confidence, i cant help the suspicion that Getsy(possibly Flush too) likes Bagent more and really wants him to work so giving every good opportunity they can. We'll def see Fields in time for the top10 Defenses tho!
If the Bears win, they're more likely to have the #1 or #2 overall pick (Carolina) and then a pick at 5 or lower. If the Bears lose, they're more likely to have two picks in the 3-5 range. These are just estimates, obviously, and based on how the teams around the league perform, but that's my guess.
Brian Burns is out, so its feeling like a winnable game. If Frank Reich isn't an idiot, I'd expect to see a lot of Adam Theilen against Tyrique Stevenson. Don't love the match up, but its better than other elite WRs being schemed to be lined up against him, who only knows what reason that could be... I want to see Donta Foreman run over people. Just a revenge game in general. It'd be nice if Getsy doesn't start with the cute shit. Stick with what's working until they stop you and hang 40 on this team. Panthers play a lot of single high safety and you have two fast WRs in Mooney and Moore who should pick that apart after you set up the run. Velus Jones is inactive and wont be on my television. Fuck yeah
I should've done a Foreman prop bet, didn't even think of it, but went with DJ Moore over 55.5 yards in his revenge game.
Need a heavy dose of Foreman to start this drive. Do not let Bagent do anything other than handoff up the middle until we're clear of the 10.
