Pickett played one great second half and helped to lead us to victory Dionte Johnson and George Pickens are really good together as our top two receivers TJ Watt and Highsmith and Herbig came up big Boswell is money Minkah is the best safety in the league Joey Porter Jr had some lumps today but came up big when we needed him to. Bad: run defense ugly: Pickens getting a taunting penalty. Shut the heck up and get back to the huddle
West coast is tough but they go out and win. Very nice. Good: 24 points with 14 in the 4th. Watt's INT. One great player in the front 7 can really make a difference. The Steelers have a few there. Pickens and Johnson are a very good set of WRs. The RB duo looked good. Each with a TD. The bad. The pass D at times. If they don't get pressure, it's tough. Not much else. I'm just too happy. This was an L to me and now it's a W. The ugly. Colts D gave up the late TD. It would be nice to have the Browns at 3-3 but they're a good team even with the injuries. Well, the Steelers suck and everyone should be fired and then imprisoned. Pickett blows as does the oline. Yet, the Steelers are 4-2. I don't think this is a championship caliber team but I'm having fun. The schedule had good opponents and three of the victories are against good teams. Another tough one next week and everyone will predict doom. We'll see, I guess.
The offense was insufferable in the 1st half. Rams went up and down the field in the 1st half but only had 9 points. The ‘23 Steelers will be in most games against the average or below average teams. When they play the elite teams they have no chance. Next Sunday vs Jacksonville will be interesting
Eagles and Chiefs? Then a few just below them. After that, it's teams like the Steelers. Sometimes good and sometimes awful.
The Good: A win is a win and a double bang since it was on the Left Coast. TJ is da man. Dotson called for holding. Bwahahahahahaha. The Bad: The sluggish starts on offense and the run defense. Heck the pass defense other than FItzpatrick and JPJ. The Ugly: It felt like a cheap win, with 2 bad calls by the refs and Pickens and Dionte Johnson with bone headed penalties. I will thrown in a DeShawn Watson as a bonus. Is this dude really worth quarter of a billion dollars?
The Eagles traded Edmonds for Byard. That really seems like a rip off in the Eagles favor. Can we trade one of our crappie dline men for Aaron Donald.
I dunno it’s a 2-4-5 scheme not even 3 DT on the field most plays . Compare to the Eagles who rotate 4 big mamus out there and shut down the LOS.
Realistic Power Rankings. I think it's fair, and not a lot of stock way up or down based on one game. The only one I think is inflated is the Jaguars. They run hot and cold. PFT's Week 8 2023 NFL power rankings Got some butt love for Jackson on CBS, Ravens at 3?? That's a no for me a bit of an over reaction. Detroit played like shit. Browns ahead of Steelers, but they just gave up 38 to Minshew and have already lost to Pittsburgh. NFL Week 8 Power Rankings: Ravens catapult into top 3 after demolishing Lions, Steelers also make huge leap ESPN they are delusional, I don't read their drivel I just scan a few box scores and power rankings, which this week are a fucking joke. Well Rex Ryan is a joke, par for the course. Week 8 NFL Power Rankings: 1-32 poll, plus every team's young riser
TJ Watt is running in some very exclusive company in his 7 seasons. He is tied with Lawrence Taylor for the most ints by a OLB in the first 101 games and has more sacks than Taylor had. They are the only two OLB with 7 int in the timeframe. Watt actually has better stats than LT for the first 7 seasons. Except for the 3 DPOY and 1 league MVP Taylor has. If the Steelers were to win the AFCN I think there would be a case for Watt to be league MVP. Because he would be the one who be our player most responsible for it happening.
