It was a foul for sure, but even with a major size mismatch and a patchwork offensive line, throwing a jump ball at the back of the end zone with your backup QB from the 1 yard line when you have your franchise running back sitting there seems like a dubious option to me. Last play of the game, I want the ball in my best player’s hands.
Anywhere but Cleveland. That stadium is single handedly the worst stadium to kick in. Everyone that anyone has misses in that stadium. The last time the Browns beat the Ravens, Tucker missed 2 FGs in one game, that never happens. You're only discussing one bad call in the game... The referees were making very bad calls in the first half of the game that helped the 49ers jump out to a lead. Take ALL bad calls out of this game and the Browns probably still win. No one will ever know... Overall, this game saw a combined 25 penalties for 224 penalty yards... there were more than a few that were considered "bad calls". This "controversial" call is only because ONE former referee turned talking head gave his opinion that the Gipson's shoulder hit Moore's shoulder as well. The rule states Head or Neck "area" of a defenseless receiver... He was certainly a defenseless receiver, so it must be determined where the "area" was that the hit took place. Last I knew the "shoulder bone's connected to the neck bone", or so the song states. So, then, wouldn't the shoulder be part of the head and NECK area? Regardless.. The Browns won, so to answer your question for Lyman, I for one am very comfortable with a win, I don't give a damn how it happens if I'm being honest. Nothing was handed to the Browns on Sunday, their defense certainly looked the part of the best in the league.
Something tells me after the last play of the first half, there was NO WAY IN HELL he was handing the ball off there.
Bills running back Damien Harris was released from a Buffalo hospital on Monday and head coach Sean McDermott gave an update on his condition at a press conference later in the day. Harris was taken off the field in an ambulance after a collision during a run in the second quarter. He was able to move his arms and legs and was taken to be evaluated for a neck injury. On Monday, McDermott said that Harris has a neck sprain and is in the league’s concussion protocol. McDermott added that Harris seems to be in good spirits while resting at home following his departure from the hospital. Harris has 23 carries for 94 yards, two catches for 16 yards and a rushing touchdown this season. PFT
Good stuff, Lyman. That Giants point differential is really amazing... Damn near impossible to do, but they found a way. Neck n neck race with the Patriots.
Unless you are cheering for their opponent, Derek Carr is hard to watch. I wasn’t sure it was him in Vegas, but it’s mostly him in NWO
Steelers = 7 TD's on the season, Steelers PPG = 15.8 Saints = 12 TD's... PPG = 19 Patriots and Giants are the only teams below the Steelers in PPG.
Last night was the first time I saw the Saints play and yes they made me appreciate the Steelers offense.
When the Saints got Carr, I thought he was a better QB than this. I was thinking,"win the division". Now it seems any playoff spot is a stretch.
I liked your offense better when number seven was playing QB last night. Can’t remember his name right now. Now I know it Taysom Hill
They tried him as an every down QB last year. But for some reason, it just didn't click. So they put him in at QB, RB, TE, or WR and drive defenses crazy
The only time your offense looks good is when he is on the field, even if he’s not at QB. When you guys were at the red zone at the end of the game he wasn’t on the field and I was pissed off because I knew you wouldn’t score.
It's not working with Carr because they are trying to fit Carr into the offense they want to run rather than build their offense around what Carr does best. People are trying to say he checked down with the raiders all the time but this year has his 2nd lowest yards per attempt and adjusted yard per attempt. The only time lower was his rookie season. What that says to me is he is not comfortable in this offense. He doesn't trust his WRs yet. Now the bigger problem than his play his the way he is taking shots at his teammates rather than giving the QB speak answers. It's won't be long before his teammates quit on him. More ght be time to admit the marriage was a mistake and move to Winston.
Right after I posted that I saw an article where Allan three Olave were nder the bus for running a wrong route.
