Correct. If there is a legitimate question following next season about whether his option will be picked up, I believe the team should be looking real hard for the next QB to draft. Personally I’d start looking for this draft, but it is way more likely that if a QB is taken, it will be a late round guy to take over the 3rd string job. The Steelers will give Pickett a shot without Canada next season.

 

Canada needs to take the oline coach with him too. After the Rams have Dotson playing at an all pro level.

To add to the logic of why Rush slid to Round 5. There was such a deep CB class and teams had more pressing needs. (Pun intended) any other year he was a late 3rd early 4th round pick. Ringo lasted to round 3 , Eagles moved up to get him. Trice was there in the 7th but maybe his injury history was a red flag to most teams.

Saturday Auburn vs Miss. St. Jo’Quovious Marks RB someone I want to watch for UDFA. Steelers depth at RB is thin . Auburn has 3 cb to scout: James, Pritchett, Simpson and a RB Hunter. Trying to find some sleeper picks. Ot sure when Toledo is on tv but keep an eye on CB Quinyon Mitchell.
