No he wasn’t better than Webster.

Possibly but the question to you is do you want the 5 best linemen or are you going to limit it yourself by position.

It also helps when the formation doesn’t alert the Defense as to pass or run. The offensive woes are
    not all on
Canada but opposition has stated they can see what the intentions of Canada are pre snap.

Well, I didn't invent what the typical starting positions are, so, (to answer your question) i guess I am.

    Bye Week Questions:

How much will it help to get McFarland back? Everyone is focused on DJ (rightfully so) coming back, but Anthony McFarland is coming back as well. Does it mean anything? Could this mean the end of Gunner? (Please Please Please) Or does his injury history make the team keep Gunner as insurance?

Idk, Wizard of Boz has been clutch. Not close in terms of points yet, but I’d be interested to compare GW kicks between the two. Disclaimer: I only caught the end of Gary Anderson’s Steeler career, and certainly remember his miss for the Vikings that would’ve sent them to the Super Bowl.

also to add to Bites point, not sure if you watch Ben’s Footbahlin podcast but he mentions that Canada’s offense is missing the conceptual pass plays, about half way through the podcast he gives examples and I 100% agree with Ben.

Is it all Canada no, Kenny shares some of the blame for what you have mentioned Beach because I can also see him doing that, and was real evident on the 2 pt conversion where he missed a wide open Robinson near the left front pylon.

One thing that we all forget right now is that our team isn’t even close to gelling yet. We are in first place and haven’t even come close to playing our best football.
Pickett can play a lot better than he has so far.
The oline can block a lot better than they have so far
The defense is rated tenth in the league and hasn’t played up to the standard yet.
Our coaching definitely hasn’t been up to par and as long as Canada is calling our offense it won’t reach its full potential
TJ and Highsmith have been our most consistent players and even they took the Texans game off.
I really look forward to seeing coaching changes this offseason, but hopefully we will surprise and make a push in January and February.
If the light can turn on for Pickett this team could easily be the best team in the AFC. The game we turn in against the Rams could be a turning point to a great season if we are hungry.

49ers rolling. And I predict the LV Raiders Max Crosby is going to make Suck Jones suck even more, if that is even possible. Cannot wait to see BB's pressure. We gotta try harder, back to basics. For all the woes of KP8, Jones sucks more. And for all of our Fire Canada chants, there is even more in NE to can Hoodie. Their forums are filled with hatred, vile negativity and apathy. Spoiled Pastry Meat fans. Chaz Noll knew when to step away, but he always had smarter guys finding talent. With Hoodie as the GM, their drafts have had more terrible picks than Matt Millan had with the Lions.

I hope Danny Smith keeps Rodney Williams active on Special Teams. Young man made 2 super plays that Gunner would never make. #shitcanGunner.

At this point, what value does Gunner bring to the team? Used to be at least a capable backup returner, but he’s put 3 on the ground in his time here as a return man. Benched last season, inactive more often than not thankfully. That RB we signed should be active over gunner.

The Browns got a gift call on a fourth down non conversion. That was a picture perfect hit by the DB that was called a personal foul.

Watched that, it was bullshit, guy hit him in the shoulder. Too many inquires to Niners offense to overcome, Cleveland D, was able to capitalize.

Yeah, it's not like Cleveland's offense was injury free. Who needs Conklin, Chubb, Watson or Bitonio ?

One play/call doesnt win or lose a game so yes ot was a bad call they had plenty of chances to win the game. Including a missed field goal at the end that would have won it (most likely). They could have taken another shot at shortening the field goal attempt they decided not to.

I agree, PK was money all season, then Moody misses one, Weird game. I HAD to watch it, nothing else on. CBS gave me the Patriots and Raiders at 4PM and Fox had the Jets and Eagles at 4PM, 8PM game was close, but just not interested in the teams.

Not sure Watson is your answer. Cleveland had all week to prepare subs, 49ers lost those players in the game, more impactful on their game plan. Congrats on the win Lyman.

I'm not yet sold on Watson, either. But you missed my point entirely.

    Ever since the game ended, all the talking heads had to offer was the injuries to McCaffery and Samuels. I don't give a rat's ass how long the Browns had to prepare. The facts are;
    • P.J. Walker is LESS talented than Deshaun Watson.
    • Jerome Ford is LESS talented than Nick Chubb.
    • Michael Dunn is LESS talented than Joel Bitonio.
    • Duwand Jones is LESS experienced than Jack Conklin.
That's four offensive starters that didn't even dress for the game.

Lyman, I agree that you guys played a great game. To even be in position to win it with the bad call against the 49ers was really impressive. I thought it was going to be a blowout when they marched down and scored a touchdown on the first drive. The circle of crap in the NFL makes me wonder whats going on. The 49ers and Texans blew the Steelers out. The Ravens hammered the Texans and the Browns just beat the 49ers but the Steelers beat both the Browns and Ravens . The Steelers don’t seem like they should have been able to compete with the Browns or Ravens. There doesn’t appear to be any real dominant teams in the league this season.
