This is why this mock is STUPID. So the Cardinals will take Marvin Harrison JR. at #2, he is arguably one of the 3 best players in the draft. However, his VALUE is not second overall. That would be Drake Maye, some team will mortgage their future, for their future. Does anyone think Denver at 6 is going to sit there and say "oh well look all the talent we just missed on" and stick with a washed up Russell Wilson? And Newton ain't going 6th and Latu is not lasting until 17, bank on this. So the Cardinals can get their QB and slide down to 5 or 6, well because the Raiders cannot stick with Jimmy SUCKALO, they got a shot a real shot at Fashanu. Plus I don't think The Cardinals finish with the first two picks, They are a better overall team than Chicago and I think their schedule is more favorable. We can say the same thing about Chicago in this mock.
At this point though, maybe Denver already pissed away too many future picks to get Wilson, I am going to have to lean in that direction.

I am NOT taking Marvin Harrison Jr. at 2. Both the Raiders and Broncos are at 3 and 4 and Maye is just a better prospect than Nix and McCarthy. Michigan and Oregon just might be both in the final 4 because they have mad talent and depth on their roster. How many guys on NC are getting drafted in April, about half of what Oregon and Michigan will have. I like the story of Shedur Sanders, I just don't see him as NFL ready. Could he be the next LaMar Jackson, maybe. I still think pocket passers with some abililty are premium talent and teams will go in that direction.

 

Talk about him bailing from clean pockets all the time but don't have the time, technology or energy to document it. This guy does...

 

Beach he’s 50 percent of the woes the other is Canada . OL has been shaky but KP8 keeps missing open guys

 

On the plus side at least they avoided the urge to move up and grab pickett.

 

I don’t think Purdy would look good playing for Canada on the Steelers, so it’s hard to say anything about it with him as OC.

 

Also they’re not a quarter of a billion dollars invested in one player like all 3 other teams in their division

 

I don’t know what to think about this season. It’s driving me crazy. I think it’s time for Tomlin to join Cowher in the booth. He can’t see what’s staring him right in the face. We need independence from Canada.

 

One good feather in my cap I didn’t like CB Emanuel Forbes. He just got benched tonight and week 4 gave up 197 yards

 

Ransom had a solid game today. Eichenberg got faked out of his jock strap. OSU OL is garbage, a few Terps I liked: Sheppard , Trader, Ayedze

 

Open guys are a product of the play design. A successful passing game opens up the running game. I can't tell you Canada is is the answer because he has yet to have a top 25 QB to run his offense.

Again, agree to disagree. Big Ben was 15th rated QB in 2021 despite Matt Canada. He had lost his mobility, yet Canada couldn't design plays to compensate for the aging #7. All I know is that when PIckens scored the TD on Sunday, Canada was the only coach in the booth not celebrating the TD. Pretty much a WTF moment.

 

When I saw that booth shot live I said to my son, "Did you see Canada scanning the field for flags?" Never imagined it would be construed as not happy about a TD. A guy that has been crucified all season wasn't happy about a go ahead TD? That makes no sense. A delayed reaction to make sure the TD holds up makes perfect sense. The camera just cut away too soon.

 

p.s. Not trying to argue. We can disagree on this one but Ben was 24th in passer rating, 25th in QBR, 28th in yards per attempt, 21st in completion%. Not sure what metric you are using but he was 6th in attempts so I would expect at least a middle of the pack rating in yards, TDs, etc.

We agree on one thing: the combination of Pickett and Canada is not working and Ben’s last year his starting center was Kendrick Greene. Bet that had something to do with his overall performance.

 

Watched some ridiculous talent on Saturday, some WR made crazy catches. saw the Ice Coleman catch and said, wow, top 5 pick. Dude is a freshman......... And then NOT impressed with either LB from UCLA, they were kept in check IMHFO. I was pulling for Washington, sick of Oregon getting all the hype and I cannot stand Bo Nix.

 

Hate to burst your bubble, but they did try and could not find a trade partner. We got lucky. If Kenny does get a new OC and does better, maybe he has more open targets.and they pick up his option.

 

Yeah i should have said we got lucky and they were not able to move up

 

Just my opinion, but if there is a question about whether to pick up your QB’s 5th year option, it’s time to start looking for a new one
