Ravens @ Steelers game thread

On the 3rd and 10 the announcer says "who's he going to throw it to" as they show an open Pickens. It's the NFL. That is open in the NFL. The ball just needs to be there on time.

 

The previous series on 1st and 10 receiver runs a little 8 yd in route. No one within 5 yds of him he throws it through the end zone. 2nd and 10 there is someone wide open on a 15 yd crosser and he checks it down to Robinson. Then the sack because he has no pocket awareness.

 

Didn’t have as much of a problem with the deep shot to Pickens, he was 1 on 1 and they needed a play. I’ll take your word on the rest.

 

Swear one step forward two steps back with the defense. Can’t get off the field on 3rd and long

 

Ravens have no respect for the Steelers offense with that 4th down call. I thought they were going to just line up and let the clock wind to 2 and kick the FG because the Steelers had no intention of saving time because they don’t believe in their own offense

 

And won’t fire the OC…

 

Odd strategy at the end of the half in a one score game. Tucker is automatic.

 

7 points is a big enough lead against this offense. Although 10 points guards against the defense getting another score, which seems more likely at this point

 

Pathetic opening drive. Defense with a 3 and out, couple of nice plays by Wallace and Neal. Offense gets the ball back inside the 10

 

Deep middle wide open on 2nd and 4. He just needs to be able to anticipate it. And he can't. The windows close too fast. Sack instead.

 

It's a terrible decision. It's 1st and 10 and you're in long FG range. Take the easy 8. Give your play caller some options on 2nd and 2.

 

Cole got beat off the line. Herbig did his best to clean it up, but ball should have came out. Won’t put that one completely on Pickett, but the top QBs don’t take that sack

 

It's a 10yd game. You don't have to face 3rd down constantly.

 

He had time. In the NFL he had a lot of time.

 

1st and goal from the five, didn’t gain a yard. No way should Maulet have a chance at making that play, jump ball and that’s a TD, instead ball thrown At Maulet’s back. Should’ve been PI, but put that ball where Pickens has a chance
