Michigan had no business losing to TCU. Just like they had no business losing to Ap st. TCU shouldn’t have been in the championship game. They were not that good.
I thought the way OSU jumped out on Georgia that the Buckeyes were going to roll them, but Georgia is built like an NFL team, lol. Just too much for them. The Bulldogs were/are head and shoulders above any team in the nation probably. Just an all-around balanced power-house and have been the past couple years.
#6 Buckeyes 3-0 vs the #9 Irish 4-0 today (730 et). Meanwhile, #1 Georgia still pussyfooting around with scrubs...
Should be a great game. The Irish have more experience on their side, but the Buckeyes have better overall raw talent. The Ohio State Buckeyes season depends on how quickly these young bucks can get on the same page. I’m not sure the Irish are a top 4 team. If they can get by tOSU they might find a way to the playoff, but at the same time, I think at that point of the season the Buckeyes will have a better chance of winning in the final 4. Either way, I’m looking for an Uber competitive game tonight, should be fun!!
On a side note, I think early player exit to the NFL draft is FINALLY catching up in college football. I don’t see a dominant team this season. It’s anyone’s season at this point to get into the playoff.
Very interesting and exciting game in South Bend... the epitome of 'smashmouth' football. Both teams are very talented and it showed.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day was fired up when it was over, criticizing former Irish coach Lou Holtz, who called out the Buckeyes toughness in predicting a Fighting Irish victory earlier this week. “I’d like to know where Lou Holtz is right now,” Day said during a postgame interview with NBC. “What he said about our team, I cannot believe. This is a tough team right here. We’re proud to be from Ohio. It’s always been Ohio against the world, and it’ll continue to be Ohio against the world. But I’ll tell you what: I love those kids. We’ve got a tough team.”
Buckeyes dumped the Terps, 37-17 and Oklahoma goes to Texas and beats the Horns, 34-30. Looking good at the moment for the Buckeyes ranking wise. Michigan and Georgia play tonight. Wolverines on the road in Minnesota and the Dawgs at home vs 5-0 Kentucky.
The Longhorns loss was 100% on their HC, they never should've lost that game inside regulation. They had the ball near midfield and were driving with under 3mins on the clock in a tie ball game. In that situation, and especially given the opposition, the HC should be saying "they don't get the ball again". I counted def 3, maybe 4 times the ball was snapped on a running clock with 20+secs left on the play clock. OU got the ball back with 1.10 left on the clock. It should've been, conservatively speaking, 20secs max with no TOs left.. Coach cost em the game.
Set your DVR's. This is gonna be a good one. Keep your eye on OSU # 8 - TE Cade Stover. Marvin Harrison is the shiny object, Stover is the dagger to the heart.
