Has everyone turned in their opening contracts?

 

According to my research, everyone has posted their contracts here. Just Local 18's and Turn down for watt need added to page 16's contracts chart.

I think everyone understands, so just enjoy yourself. Speaking of WiFi issues, dumbass me was so mad when computer drafted for me a couple of rounds. Turns out was my fault as I was doing player lookup on a separate device than what I was drafting on. There was a time lag, so I didn't realize I had timed out. Glad I was only upset for about 15 minutes. My brother (in another state) called me helped me figure out what was going on. He's smart so don't let him fool you! As it turns out, the 2 rounds computer picked for me were not who I would have selected...but I couldn't be happier. Guess brother and computer both smarter than me by far.
Today, I've been putting together a spreadsheet (and database) to house team information. Never would have imagined DOB would be such a significant data point until I saw the Contract Extension rules with corresponding extension rate increases.
This is going to be fun!

I feel ya. Been my situation this week. I had to use my hot spot for last minute updates on stuff for my trip. The longest being a 3 hour update for Monster Hunter Rise on my Switch lol.

 

So just to clarify, our cap was $265M but it has since been adjusted to $250M and our usable cap is no more than $50M of what is free and that doesn't kick in until season kickoff? So I'm currently under $200M cap but FF says I spent some of my allotment $50M. I assume at kickoff that would be reset to $50M or $250M-$50M, whichever is less. I say that because you said KTerry would not get the full amount after a recent add to get her over $200M.

Whatever number you have at kickoff sets what you may have for rollover. There is no readjustment at season start.

The $50mil per offseason allowable bid money begins post draft.

So the long and short on this really begins with a basic accounting perspective for myself, but also has to do with the idea that the $50,000,000 lock in levels up the playing field just a touch in the post-draft offseason. Owners can choose to build up rollover cash, but there also needs to be incentive to spend money (no forced spending in the rules).

If you have a lot of cash going into your offseason (rollover plus new money) then spending it during our pre-draft FA period is one option to utilize and get competitive quickly. Most teams that are obtaining surplus cash will likely due so at the price of not being as active in the market, which may make them less competitive. Rebuilding teams can build a war chest of cash and picks, then get right back into the mix in their division with a few deft moves.

It also keeps owners that are going into the regular season under that $50,000,000 bar from being pushed completely out of market for the entire season. Now, if you spend like a drunk on New Year's Eve, then you are going to put yourself in a position of watching moves happen all around you without any chance of getting involved. There is no protection for that.

All this does is help cultivate balance without restricting the ability to manage your team in the manner of your choosing.

I needed to have the rollover numbers posted on the spreadsheet.

 

Pre-FA rollover cash numbers have been added to the spreadsheet.

 

That explains my confusion.
