I was going over the rules and regs this afternoon and a question popped up. Does FF have a financial calculator built in for during the Draft and throughout the season or is all the math up to the individual owners, especially during the Draft? How is this going to work? Just curious.

 

In follow up, maybe we are just drafting all of our rosters and then working out the contract designations? (which makes sense in my head at the moment)

All of the contract information will be done by spreadsheet, by me.

The tables for the individual teams are already built, so it's just a matter of updating them with the data post draft.

As for contract designations - Those will be made by the individual teams post draft. You will simply list it out on here, or in a PM to me, and I will lock in the terms per your wishes.

When it comes to FA - I can set the dollar amount for each owner going into each season so it reflects their actual free cap space for that year. Since dead money doesn't get totaled till the close of season, that number never needs updated once it is set post draft.

In essence we will have to keep track of player Cap Hits listed on page 1 in order to satisfy the $265M Annual Team Cap pending on how long of a contract we sign said player for.

The more I study/examine this, the more Im grasping. Im really having fun already and find this very interesting.

 

All of your current contracts will automatically total so that you know your cap number at a glance. That will include any dead money totals that will also automatically update when transactions get fed in by me.

Everyone's moves are tracked in the activity feed, so any owner can double check themselves, or another team, at a glance.

I watched some of the Hamilton, Montreal game yesterday, was that the game he went to? Ive seen a few CFL games as the season just kicked off a bit a go... its been fun. Seen Toronto, BC, Hamilton and Montreal so far. Became somewhat of a fan years ago because I used to get CBC Windsor 9 (CBET, iirc) from across Lake Erie. Thats how I became a big fan of HNIC, Don Cherry, Ron MacLean and company were stables on my Saturday nights growing up. Howie Meaker I recall also... Bob Cole was the best. Loved how he called Toronto trannah, like so many CBC announcers lol.

Ive never seen an episode of, Letterkenny, need to check that out... seen a ton of Red Green tho. (Mr. Dressup used to creep me out as a kid, lol)

 

We went to the Hamilton game and they played a great 15 minutes and then on the 0:00 punt play the refs fucked us. You won't believe this. They blocked a Hamilton player in the back towards the punt returner as the ball was in the air and he fell within 5 yards of him. They throw a flag and he returns it for a TD. The flag was not for the illegal block. They call "no yards" for the player not being 5+ yards away from the returner when he first touches it (CFL counter to the fair catch). The sky ref then decides to overturn the penalty so now the ruling is "There is no penalty for no-yards because the kicking team player was pushed within 5 yards. The result of the play is still a TD." WTF? And it was a blatant block in the back. Then the team, with their backup QB played like crap. 2 pick 6s and can't stop anything. Starter got hurt last week.

So 0-3 but this team is a mess right now and the coach or GM needs to go.
