I had one owner ask about dues and getting them sent in, so everyone can start submitting to confirm their spot.

Are we sure we are going to get to 12 teams? This doesn't work with 10....

 

I have 5 people that are interested from other avenues, so we will definitely hit 12.

I tend to lean towards the side of getting people in that we are already familiar with (or that the regulars connect to us) before having others get involved. We've hit some home runs with guys like Rico and Steve, but we've also had several others that have either left quickly or, unfortunately, have been shown the door.

Either way, we are locked and loaded to roll this thing out on time.

Okay. Only problem for me is the draft in a single day. I would need to ask for some patience there. It's my crazy season. If that's okay I'm in.

 

Looking at my schedule and what everyone has told me so far, and I think the days of 7, 8, 9 and 10 will work the best, but it definitely has to be a one day draft. Lots of stuff on my side to complete after, so multi day is out of the question.

The 7th and the 10th would have to be a 6 or 7pm start, but the other two could have early start times.

You know what you’re schedule is like this far out?

 

Sundays suck. Mondays okay. Tuesdays ideal.

 

And my mental calendar sucks. None of those days were listed lol.

 

Any day but Sunday for me.

 

Point of reference, 7th is a Fri, 10th is a Monday... 11th would be a Tuesday if we wanted to push it to that day. Just know, everyone will need to be committed and online for the draft to happen in one night.

I am open for anything, but during a weekday I will not be able to commit before 6 pm most days. My store closes at 6 pm and I need to be available to my employees until that time.

 

Bear in mind, if we are on a 30 second clock to draft.. a 30 round draft will still take 3 hours if there are no breaks. Obviously extending that to 60 seconds, or the normal 90 seconds could take exponentially longer. Everyone would need to be ready and willing to commit fully for 3 hours.

What happens if the timer runs out? Do they get skipped, etc... if it is a guide and not a true timer, the draft will last MUCH longer.

 

I’m booked for every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday till September, so those days are definitely out.

Saturday the 8th may be the best bet for getting everyone in for the entire draft.

FF will make an auto pick if the time runs out.

A 90 second timer would be optimal, but I think most of us are seasoned enough that it would be a rare instance that it would get used in its entirety.

 

The only chance I could do that kind of draft in July would be an early Saturday morning. Like 8 or 9am start time. And I don't want to be a pain in the ass. If there are other people available you might want to grab one.

 

Hell, I would do a 5:00 am est start time, only problem with morning is that not everyone is on eastern time zone. For west coasters, a 8:00 am start is 5:00 am.

Where is everyone from, btw? We should figure out logistics for what is even feasible.

So 8am ET is 6am for me.

If it actually works for everyone else I’m fine with it

 

We have one potential owner from the West Coast, so I’ll have to make sure a 9am ET (6am PT) would work for him.

This will be 30 rounds, 12 teams so we are looking at a minimum of 3 hours.

The other option (have to double check) would be to break it down over a pair of evenings by pausing the draft.

If this is still available on FF, we could explore that possibility.
