Are we still stuck at 8 teams?

I reached out to 4 people I know with the skill set and passion to do this.. (1) of those 4 are going to let me know soon. He is very interested. I've been playing FF with him for 20 years, he is very active. I'll let you know asap.

Should I start to look outside of our normal sphere?

 

I would say yes, otherwise we might end up running out of time. I thought for sure there would be a line of people interested in this one. It's very unique.

In my opinion, I think the regulars on this site have seen this and have had time to make a decision and to make it thrive I personally think 12 GM's is a good figure to kick this off. Bottom line, I do think its time to recruit 4 more for sure.

 

So, do we only have 4 locked in at the moment?

 

I have a guy that wants a team, but I don't want to make him jump through hoops if we aren't going to have enough teams for a league. Please let me know as soon as you can.

I think the number stands at 8 currently, with 3 potentials.

 

Gotcha, there’s only 5 now signed up on FF.

I have one that will fit in really well. He was a fraternity brother of mine from 30+ years ago and we’ve been doing fantasy football for the last 20. He and his wife both play in leagues. He will stay very active. Let me know everything he needs to get in.

 

@RTTRUTH , @Silver&black and @RicoL8 have invites sent out through their email, so they just need to register.

I'll message @Minnow to see if he is in, and with your friend we would have 10 definite.

I have 3 other people that have said they are interested and reviewing it, but if anyone else has someone that wants to get in or has a suggestion for an owner, now would be the time to let me know.

 

Also:

I'm working out the details to a change for the PS rules. Being that we are paying Monopoly money to have these players on our roster, these players should be available to be called up at any point in the season.

We will continue to have 5 spots, and there will be an advantage for having a player locked in that spot for a period of time.

Once I finalize the details on the change, I will update the rules board and post the changes on this thread.

UPDATE TO THE PS RULES

This is a short and simple change...

Practice Squad:

• You will have 5 roster spots designated for the practice squad
• These players must be kept in the TAXI spot
• All 5 spots are not required to be filled
• Any player listed as a practice squad player may be called up at anytime to the active roster
• If a player has been on the practice squad for a minimum of 30 calendar days, he may be cut at any time without incurring any dead cap penalty

I'm still targeting July for the draft, likely on the evening of Sunday the 9th.

 

July 17th-19th will be a no go for me. I'm going to Europe and purposely took a 1-day layover in Dublin to see the city. I won't have data or possibly wifi for most of the time those days. I'll be looking into getting data set up once I'm there though.

 

I’m away from home those days also.
So let’s avoid those days for sure.
We should be done by then if we start the 9th though, right?
