I’m saying this as an optimist 11-6 if my hard earned money was betting with my heart. The biggest factor is how well the OL blocks and Kenny goes through his progressions.

macDonald was their highest graded player then TE Mayer then Jones.
We all saw live tv ! That war room in Ny looked shell shocked . I’m screaming Bullshit on their video they posted 1 month after the draft. I talked to my Jets friends they gave me the bird when I said “so what did you think of the draft”? Same reaction in the Cowboys war room when Buffalo jumped them for Kincaid . Tape doesn’t lie they were bumming big time.

 

Then why did it take them 14:30 to make the pick? See where I’m going

 

Steelers history read about players who wore 90 and I knew the site I was on sucked. I remember a LB in Noll’s final years that was a good ball player. The article listed players like Steve McClendon and Jeff Zgonina. They whiffed because they forgot about Tyrone Stowe. Idiots
Although he played for The Cardinals where he was more famous , it was Noll who drafted him. He was a ST Ace but flourished later on in his career.

I remember a Monday night game in 1990 vs the Rams where Stowe absolutely destroyed the kick returner. They showed him on the sidelines and it looked like he forgot what planet he was on.

Mini Camp reports say that Trice and Benton are turning heads. Patrick Peterson loves the way JPJ is soaking up knowledge. Good to hear. But it's football in shorts. We all hope that we get the next Rod Woodson, but I think reasonable expectations would be we get a couple of Ike Taylors. National Media is brutal, they expect Pickett to be mediocre and The Ravens to be some juggernaut. Their other fluff is that the Steelers went too heavy on Defense rebuilding their roster. I disagree, because the youth on this team is in the offensive side of the ball. It was time to inject youth into the Defense. Historically Pittsburgh owns the Browns, and beat the Bengals with a healthy TJ Watt and they lost half their secondary and 40% of their OL. Jackson is 2-3 vs. The Steelers. Reasonable expectations for me is that we could come in second in the Division. I like the Markus Golden signing but I am hoping they pluck a vet RB off waivers, I am not excited about the depth in the backfield.

 

Still hoping Benny Snell comes back. Solid ST player, and better RB than many give him credit for. I realize with the new kickoff rules kind of lessens the importance of ST, but still wouldn’t mind seeing him come back another year

Many friggin’ penalties for my liking. Watched some games from 1999-2008 on YouTube. Things that went unappreciated. Jon Whitman blew open holes we need that u selfish FB again. And I forgot how good Huntley, Hodge, and Redman were all wearing #33.
