Opening Day in MLB and the Tribe plays at 10:10 PM...That seems pretty strange. Whatever happened to Opening DAY? lol! Oh well. Roll Tribe! Gonna be a late one.
TV ratings buddy! Big markets get to split day/night, then the rest do whatever, lol. GO TRIBE!! I'm excited about this season!!
Is it just me, or do the Browns’ players suffer an unusually high number of Achilles injuries? Hi everyone
I have to admit . . . I'm more than a little underwhelmed with the Browns' draft. The only bright side is that Browns fans are already used to finishing last in the AFC North. First, we trade away our 2nd round pick for a Wide Receiver. Then spend our 1st pick in the draft [3-11] on a . . . Wide Receiver with gaping needs at IDL and LB. Then, after filling rotational needs on the D-line and a back-up O-tackle, we draft our forth QB in the 5th round. The Browns keep spewing that the draft is a collaborative effort where all levels of the organization and coaching staff have input into the draft board. If that's truly the case, then the LB's coach must be either a deaf-mute or a leper.
Ya, I just don't get it either. They must plan on scoring 50+ per game. Defense apparently is irrelevant. Going fishing
Ahhhhhh . . . the cherry on top of the draft sundae! They trade their last pick of the draft to the fucking Baltimore Ravens for future pick(s). As if Berry or Stefanski will still be around to use it.
yes but…. They have 3 years on that cap number to win the Super Bowl and they haven’t put together a Super Bowl roster.. not even close. They are fighting for 3rd in the division and about the time they have to start paying Pickett, your dreams of another ring will have vanished.
The only reason I semi-disagree with this assessment Lym is that we started in the 3rd round. As for LBers, this was a historically lackluster class. This draft was about BPA, not about overdrafting for optics. Every pick that was made was for a situational player that brings a specific talent to the table. That specific QB is a poor man’s Deshaun Watson. More so than Dobbs. They drafted a cheap second stringer that will be able to step in and run the same offense if needed in 2024. I will forever hate that we traded away future assets for our current starting QB, that will never go away. However, considering the position this debacle put us in, I’m actually pretty happy with what they did in the draft. As for the trade.. they basically traded a 2024 7th round pick to Baltimore for a 6th rounder in 2024. I don’t see any downside to this trade. A 7th rounder in one of the least deep draft in recent memory, which Baltimore used on a player that may or may not ever play considering his very recent knee injury. ACL injuries have come a long way for positive recovery.. except on 300 lb linemen that rely on that knee for 90% of their effectiveness. He won’t be the same. In the meantime, it gives the Browns more collateral in a draft that on the surface will have better prospects in 2024. My two cents
