That's the positive part of the mixed feelings. He's a worthwhile prospect, so at least they got a good player. Dimitroff whiffed with about half of his third rounders.
Panthers traded up thinking Johnson is in the earlier tier of Edge rushers too and want him before edges on their board are gone.
Bills Select Dorian William, LB Tulane. Slight reach but one of the few I feel is a true 4th/5th round value, just not the sweet spot of guys I think could be day 2 value. But hey, I'm probably wrong. Still less of a reach than the Patriots with Marte Mapu.
Eh, not the screaming value for the Bills that the two previous picks were, but I do like Dorian Williams as a prospect. I drafted him for New Orleans in the mock.
I like Brodric Martin waaaaaaaay more than most. I don't like that they traded so much for him, or traded up at all but he is one of my "guys" this draft.
I'm probably much higher on him than most and he's had a TON of visits so they got scared. I think the league offices like him more than the media.
At this point it's pretty clear it's a medical situation with Darnell Washington. Given the weakness in the draft class later on, we're probably already right around the point where it's worth taking him now and stashing him on PUP or IR for his rookie year. In most years I'd say it's too soon, but this year? Three years of having him under contract beats four years under contract for nearly every other player still available.
Holy shit @Campbell !!! Your Zach Charbonnet pick was NAILED haha! I don't agree with it, i don't even understand it particularly, but big tip of the hat for getting into their thought process! And you took him at #52 as well right? Awesome.
Interesting draft so far. A lot of interesting angles to think on, so if I can get an hour or two away from work this weekend I'll try to do some writeups.
Im looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Id like to know, if you get the time, who the top 3 teams are that nailed it so far and who the top 3 teams who blew it, or something along those lines. No pressure tho, just curious.
