I wish Jalen Carter well, hope that need for speed cuts cut off at the testes. Eagles DL has veterans to mold this young man into what he could become. bad news for 31 teams. I think THe Eagles and the Texans had the best draft. Houston got a QB and the safest pick in the draft. Philly well their Georgia Defense will shut people down.

 

I like Jones, now we need a CB so our running game can chew up clock and we don’t have to score more than 24 to win.

 

You’re dam right. We need someone who can stand on the 50 yard line and talk shit to the opposition. Porter Jr should be able to step in his dads shoes.

 

Gid, only 4% of all NCAA football players enter the portal... 3,000 out of 71,000.. Of those 71,000 only 1.6% make it to the NFL. By the laws of averages, only about 18% of the players drafted were in the portal (I'm willing to bet that number is high, I am just doing math, not researching every player that was in the portal AND drafted into the NFL.

 

A lot of players that are good enter the portal. Fields, Hurts, Addison, . Just thinking about it, it seems like mostly QBs and WRs that love the portal.

 

QBs that find themsleves behind players that will bury them on the bench go to other teams that hand them the starting gig. I can't hold that against them. Other than that, I'm not a fan of the portal. Compete and win playing time unless there is a personal issue that allows you to get closer to home or something of that nature. I also don't have a problem with any player that commits to a school and after their first year, there is a change in coaching staff. They committed to the coaches as much as the school.

 

The Steelers are going to get back into the 4th, maybe the 5th and hopefully double dip in the second, just not 32, and 49. It's a beautiful thing. Would not rule out a trade with us moving from 80 either.

there’s lots of reasons to enter the portal some are admirable and some aren’t, if you’re going from a lesser conference to compete against higher competition I applaud the decision, if you’re going because you lost your starting position ex. Hurts. Change of staff in the college. If you go because another college offered you NIL then you lose respect and will be more about the money and yourself.

 

Anyone hear anything about the direction the Steelers are going with 32 or not?
